I'd never heard of this movie, but when it came up in my Amazon recommendations, I gave it a try, not even knowing who the actors were. It was interesting to see Johnny Depp in his younger days. I had only known him from Pirates of the Caribbean and some of his more costumed movies, so I enjoyed him being more or less normal.This movie seemed to very much be filmed in the old Alfred Hitchcock style, so it's worth a watch just for that. The plot is pretty implausible, but I've never been one who demands completely realistic plots. I think it's definitely worth a watch.

I first saw this movie on HBO when it came out in the mid-90s. I still have the DVD copy I bought at Suncoast (remember that place?). So I happened to see this on Amazon and I jumped on it. I think the image quality and sound are excellent. No real extras but that is ok. Implausible as the movie's premise may be, I think it's a decent thriller and worth a purchase.

An excess of scenes that all-too-conveniently play out in our hero's (Depp) favor detract somewhat from the story's credibility. For example: high-level security personnel who don't shoot as accurately as a presumably run-of-the-mill accountant, a shoe-shine guy who saves the day by spontaneously outwitting the supposedly clever and highly-trained criminals, etc. Nonetheless, Depp and Walken make the film well worth watching. (Although really – the title couldn't be more relevant and compelling?)

It was an okay movie. It definitely wasn't a must see, but if you get around to watching it, it wouldn't be a waste of time.

Saw this movie and TV and had to buy it. It’s just a fun suspense movie and the dialogue and actors are great, especially Walken.

This is a great thriller with Johnny Depp and Chris Walken. If you like mystery and thriller type movies, this is one you should watch. It is surprisingly well acted and written.

There is nothing super special about this movie, even the big name actors are just doing an acceptable job, with the exception of Charles S. Dutton who was amazing as always.What I like about this movie is that it takes place in the same amount of time as the length of the movie, so you are never time jumping or waiting around. It's a decent story, despite the huge plot holes, and just some good popcorn fun. I would recommend this to anyone, and I myself have watched it several times over the years since release. If nothing else, it's nice seeing Johnny Depp when he was still the clean cut 21 Jump Street actor. :)

I loved this movie. JD was excellent as usual in his role. He is such a versatile actor. Christopher Walken is as always a good villain, tense plot played out in real time. Puts me in mind of Alfred Hitchcock's style. Thoroughly enjoyed it and delivery was quick 👍

DVD arrived on time,as a Johnny Depp fan I'm trying to get all his movies as theres quite afew I haven't seen.As you can see with pictures provided the disc has a completely different title so I was confused but it wasn't till I watched the dvd I realised it was the same movie just the title was in a different language.Apart from that I enjoyed watching it.

This isn't the usual type of film I tend to watch, but after watching the trailer, I thought I'd give it a go..I'm glad I did. The storyline starts straight away and keeps moving all the way through; there wasn't one second that didn't fit in with the storyline, no pointless "filler" scenes.Would I recommend? Yes.Would I watch it again? Most likely, but it's not one I'd watch more than a few times as it relies on the suspense.Overall, an excellent film I'm glad I watched

Johnny Depp is in great killing mode in this film - it reminds me of his Sweeney Todd killings. so if you like your gore in a modern setting this might suit you too.I am a great Johnny Depp fan - well who isn't- he's so sexy. It's a change to see him wearing a suit. The story grabs you from the start and stays gripping all the way to the climax.I love him with his daughter as a family- nice to see this side of him. Of course it makes him vulnerable to being pressured. See for yourself how this is done.

This film I had never seen came upon it on Amazon read the reviews which were all good.OMG I was not disappointed basically it is about a man (Johnny Depp) who has his daughter kidnapped, and has to kill the Governor in order to get his daughter back.Without giving away the end it is full of action, and obviously it helps alot that you have Johnny Depp in it who is very easy to watch!:-)
