Cook fast. Small chicken was cooked less than a hour. Enough for backing cakes. Get hot in the 3-4 minutes.

Addition after 2 months use: the fact that there isnt an indication of when it has reached the desired temperature is really annoying.And it is impossible to clean with just a damp cloth. I use power paste and sponge to clean mine, but the first-time-use brown cooking marks between the glass panels, is - of course - impossible to clean.Original review after 1 week of use):I've had mini cooker problems. I bought (and returned) 2 mini cookers before this one. One of which only heated up to 180°, although the dial was at the top of the range, on an alleged 230°.This Tefal one on the other hand, seems to be fairly accurate, cooks faster than a conventional oven, and cooks evenly and well.So far I have cooked from scratch, pasties, rotisserie chicken, baked potatoes, and casserole. All turned out really well. I have also tried toast. It *does* make toast, but in the time it takes, you can drink 2 coffees.Like another reviewer said, on first time of use, there was a bit of cooking dirt in between the two glass panels on the door - nomway of cleaning that. Also there was some brown cooking stain on the frame the door fits into. Obeying the instructions on not using abrasive cleaners, I am unable to clean this off. I think i shall probably use my [brandname] power paste and accompanying sponge/scrubber to remove it.Also, like another reviewer said, it gets very hot on the external panels, but there is no good reason to touch these, (apart from stupidity on my part), and the handle does not get too hot to handle(!)The manual is possibly the worst I've ever seen. The info and instructions are wholly in images, and those images are hard to decipher. I got help on how to use it for cooking various things by watching independent YouTube videos.All in all, this is a very good product that out performs others in this price range. The only downside is you can't keep it clean if you follow tefal's guidance. If you have ocd behaviour for cleanliness, this is not the product for you.

.Nice oven, as I live on my own I was using the main oven just to cook 1 fish fillet, 1 bread roll etc.so thought I would give a mini oven a go. I am so pleased I did, looks good although the outside does get very hot, but cooks perfectly just adding a couple minutes extra to cooking time. The instructions could have been clearer showing just icons, I did figure out these but it is trial and error until you get used to it. I would recommend this oven for single people, no bending down and looks good on worktop. Yet to see if it saves on electricity.

I love this oven. I live alone and have a bad back so I can't reach down anymore. This is amazing for one person. I don't think i'll use the rotisserie device because I prefer roast chicken in a bag as it comes ready prepared from the supermarket (where I live small chickens are 3 for £10). That was the first thing I cooked in it and it was lovely juicy evenly cooked to perfection. It's a fan assisted oven which surprised me for something so compact and of course TEFAL is a name you can trust. It's extremely well designed, I keep noticing little thoughtful features that show how much thought went into this item. For instance it has very small 'legs' with some sort of clever rubber feet that stop it sliding all over the place, this oven was designed to sit on a worktop and it won't scorch the surface it sits on, yet the door opens and rests on it's own handle at precisely the correct height to slide out the bottom tray directly onto the door - which is very helpful to slide out my chicken during cooking to test the temperature. This feature stops the whole oven tipping forward onto you which is a common problem with lesser models. Just buy it, you will be telling your friends about this oven I guarantee it.

I purchased the second mini oven recently after using one very successfully for a number of years. This one had relatively good reviews and some that gave me some cause for concern but thought that a well-known brand like this was worth consideration. I was wrong. Yes, it does reach the required temperature eventually (with or without the fan) but as soon as you open the door and however swiftly you put the items in to cook, the temperature drops. And then continues to drop. And then drops again. It drops to about 40 degrees less than required and then remains at that temperature. As other reviewers have mentioned I wondered whether this was just perception. On purchasing an oven thermometer, this has been confirmed. Temperature continues to drop, never reaching a reasonable cooking temperature (200 degrees) again.I don’t require a lot for my needs. I'm single and only need to cook some chicken breasts, jacket potato and reheat a few things etc. I’m not asking for baking cakes, defrosting or using the rotisserie or other things that this claims to do …. just some basic things: heat and cook at a reasonable and stable temperature within a reasonable timeframe. This fails on all accounts.It’s actually just doubled the cooking time and might as well have just switched the main oven on. If it took a little longer than usual, I'd be happy but 20 minutes in and the couple of fishfingers I have tried to cook tonight are not even halfway cooked is not acceptable. 30 minutes now and they are still nowhere near the required temperature or edible.I have given it the benefit of the doubt but I've given up. This item is not as described, fit for purpose or of merchantable quality. Please contact me to arrange a return and refund.
