Short but (damn) fine
For those longing for a bit more of Special Agent Dale Cooper after the end of Twin Peaks, here's a treat in the form of his "Diane" tapes. It's a bit on the short side and only goes up to the end of season 1, but still a must-listen for fans. Also - don't miss the audio version of the Secret Diary of Laura Palmer, newly recorded by Sheryl Lee. Available from Audible or as an MP3 CD - but for some reason only available on Amazon.com (not here on the UK site).

It was short but so very enjoyable
It was short but so very enjoyable, agent Cooper is such a odd and interesting character to listen to and you also get Harry chipping in now and then on the recordings as well. It was nostalgic and I totally recommend it.

Diane, They want how much for this?
A great piece of nostalgia. Loved the origional two seasons then FWWM and season 3. Listening to Cooper dictate is wonderful, although the tape is not very long. I managed to get a copy from a private seller for £50.00. No where near the gready £300+ prices here. The digital download is probably a better value for those of us qjo arentech savvy. I am a collector so had to have it. Damn fine piece of audio from the good old days.

Fantastic to see this finally released in digital form (previously only available as an audio cassette). It's Agent Cooper's audio tapes as heard in Twin Peaks until the end of season 2, episode 1, although most of the recordings are newly (at the time) written and recorded tape entries which help fill in the story.

A real treat
This is a real treat and something of a curiosa these days. The tape, superbly read by Kyle MacLachlan, gives more information and insight to the mystery, and although most of it is taken directly from the series, there is also a lot of new stuff here that was recorded exclusively for this release in 1990. It might be just for the fans, but then again, that's enough for me!

Excellent!
Recently bought this item, wondering if an old tape player that I have still worked (that was the trickiest part of the purchase). Fortunately it does, and I got to enjoy this gem. It certainly brought back memories of one of the best television shows ever on television. Kyle MacLachlan does an excellent job in the audio version of Special Agent Dale Cooper, and easily takes you into the mystical world of Twin Peaks (it had been a while!). The recording is true to the mood of the show (mysterious, scary, comical and absurd). Diane was a fortunate assistant. The cover alone is a nice piece of memorabilia for those of us who hold Twin Peaks close to our heart.
