I'm a newbie gardener and one of the plants (really a tree) that I've been trying to grow is avocado. I did the whole avocado pit in water until it started to sprout and then moved into a small pot (on right in picture), only using potting soil. Once it got bigger, I added this coconut coir to the bottom of the next size pot (on left in picture) and moved the avocado plant(/tree) over. Once this gets a little bigger, I'll move it to a much larger pot, as it'll be too cold to plant it outside, again using a mix of soil and coir.

Baked and used for my worm culture for my fish. Works good.

Get a bucket, add water and wala!
