I bought this to track the states we went to on our cross country trip. My oldest daughter was graduating from basic training in South Carolina and we made an adventure out of it, coming from California. The map is a lot thicker than I expected. Which is great because removing the stuff to see what's underneath is difficult. It's definitely not for kiddos and the scratching 'tool' that came with it is a joke. Use a penny or a dime and you'll have better luck. It was packaged very well and I have no real complaints about it. The colors are beautiful and I can't wait until I can finish getting all the gunk off so I can frame it. Pics to show colors and the residual blank gunk I'm still trying to scrape off. All in all a great purchase!

Very tough to scratch off. Good so there are no scratches unintentionally on the map but a little hard to scratch off when you're actually trying too

Not a huge fan. I was super pumped because it looks awesome online and the few review photos, but the real life is not all that. The scraper kinda sucks, used a coin instead and still doesn't give a shiny, clean pretty photo like online photos. Obviously going to keep it and deal with it as is. But I don't recommend buying this product. Maybe I got a dud, but I'm pretty disappointed.

Nice USA map to track travel for the kids. Thick paper with colorful images. It was easy to scratch off the states with the included pick, although with any scratch map the bits go flying. I would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a scratch off map.

Just gave the maps to my grandchildren last night and unfortunately I will be returning them as soon as I get home . Scratching off the black covering to see the state you have visited is very difficult . I thought my grandchildren 8 & 10 might be doing something wrong , but both my daughter and I also had a hard time. Very disappointed , for they both enjoy everything “geography”.

I bought this as a Christmas gift and the receiver loved it! It came packaged very well in a sturdy cardboard tube. It includes a little white (guitar pick shaped) instrument to scratch off the black with and it works perfect! It’s so beautiful when the states are revealed. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

I really enjoy this map! It's a good size, sturdy, and the glossy finish makes it nice. The black part that you scratch away is pretty thick, so it doesn't seem like it would cause a scratch in an unintended space if you accidentally brushed over it or when you roll it up. That being said, my only complaint is that the scratching tool that comes with it can be a bit hard to maneuver into a spot that actually scratches off the black. I ended up using a dime to make it a little easier (although a coin sometimes scratches away the design underneath if you're not careful). Overall, I'm pretty happy with this map!

This was the perfect birthday gift for my husband who loves to travel and note where we've been. This was on a heavy-weighted, sturdy paper, and it fit perfectly into a frame. Very satisfied with this purchase.
