Beautiful lamps!
Great for wedding centerpiece. Can also be used for ambience.

Cute but flimsy
These are a wood base with paper sides. I am not sure that you could get more than one use out of the lanterns, but you can reuse the battery-powered candles that are included.

Not Wonderful
I knew that these were fairly minimalist design wise when I ordered them. I did not know that I would be putting them together and that they would have issues. They came in 3 pieces, a square flat base of sanded wood with a hole drilled at each of 4 corners. Tiny dowels to go into the holes, and a small paper shade that wraps around the dowels. Two of my dowels would not stay in the holes and two of my shades had come undone at the seams. I glued them all with white glue which was pretty simple. I colored the bases with a watercolor marker and they came out looking very nice. My favorite ones were colored gold. They aren't in the photos because my friends took them!Better, more complete descriptions would have helped. Not being caught by surprise would have made me feel better about them.

Cute but much too fragile
This set of very small "lanterns" was adorable once one of them was put together and lit up. And, they are not especially well made, are a chore to put together, and are fragile. The set includes 12 small roughly cut wooden bases with four holes drilled imprecisely into the wood to accommodate four small stick like props (total 48) that form a frame for the 12 translucent plastic "lenses" that form the lantern, and 12 battery operated tea lights. Because the holes aren't well drilled, fitting the sticks into the holes takes time and effort, and fitting the plastic lenses over the stick frames takes patience and manual dexterity (I have both in short supply.) Interestingly, my husband thinks these are the cutest little things, so he has offered to assemble them and put them into little gift bags as party favors. Update: my husband tried putting these together for party favors for my singing group's holiday party. He finally gave up after the fourth plastic lens ripped to shreds while he was trying to get it over the little sticks. If he gives up, folks, you shouldn't even bother to try! Do not buy!

Got more!
I already have 12 of these in in both sizes. But I thought I’d get a few more to decorate/ or just give “as is” as gifts in the future. :) very cute and classy!

Pretty Once Assembled
These lanterns are a pretty party decor piece once you get through assembling each. These lanterns arrive with 3 separate sections needing to be put together. The square base has, sort of, predrilled holes that you insert the corner dowels into. You then need to unfold the paper lantern cover and slip it over the dowels. Because the holes for the dowels aren't done well I highly recommend using a small philips screw driver, or something similar, to open each hole up a bit better before trying to push the dowels in. Be sure to not put any pressure on the sodes of the dowels as you insert them to avoid breaking them. The lantern papers need the creases folded back a bit to get them to sit straight before sliding them onto the dowels. All of these steps took me an average of 2 minutes per lantern so I'd recommend making sure you have 30 mins or so available to assemble these ahead of wanting to use them.Once everything is assembled you just set the candle in the center circle and can lift it to turn it on or off from the bottom. The actual candle base does not fit into this circle- each candle has tiny little legs that fit into the circle and hold the candle in place nicely. A couple of things to note- some of the dowels did stick up slightly above the lantern paper on mine. Also, the candles are ready to go out of the package so no need to purchase batteries, which I love.Overall, these small lanterns make very pretty, subtle party decorations that look nice if you aren't inspecting them for small imperfections up close. I wish the dowel holes were done better to simplify assembly but for occasional party decor I'm pleased with these!

you get what you pay for
It seemed pretty cheap for a 12-pack.When it arrived, I saw why.You assemble it yourself. The holes drilled aren't really big enough for the dowels. The cover is easily-ripped paper. The final product doesn't look as good as the picture. That being said, you want a bunch of cheap centerpieces for a large gathering with some mood lighting, this will do it well. Not sure how to explain it, but it looks nicer than average for cheap/mass decorations. It looks far worse than average for home decoration to set a mood. And aside from its appearance, they ARE difficult to assemble, so I had to mark it down accordingly.
