I had to improvise a bit, but it was tasty
Samgyetang is meant to be made with a whole chicken (some recipes recommend Cornish hen since they're small enough for a meal for one person), but I ended up using a pair of boneless chicken thighs for the meal I made for myself and my husband. The instructions on the package are fairly minimal and didn't mention the included broth bag at all, so I wasn't entirely clear on what was meant to be used just to make the broth and what was meant to be eaten. In the end, I put all the ingredients in the broth bag except for the jujubes, and included some garlic and rice as the instructions recommended. It was a subtle flavor, but nice! I gave it the full recommended 40 minutes on the stove, which was more than enough to cook my smaller chicken thighs through, but I wanted to make sure and give it enough time for the herbs to give off their flavor. One thing I will mention to be cautious of is the jujubes do have pits, so watch for that if you elect to leave them in your broth and eat them. I do wish there were more instructions and maybe a guide as to which ingredients were and were not meant to be eaten with the final meal. I feel like we probably missed out on the full flavors of this dish.

Samgyetang with ginseng is so delicious!!! It‘s the best!!!
The ingredients for samgyetang from Gagopa Farm in Korea were delivered quickly. I waited for the ingredients for the ginseng that I ordered to make samgyetang at home. When I opened it and opened it, it contained a lot of herbal medicine ingredients and it dried well, so it looked fresh. I think I bought it well. I always eat samgyetang in the summer. Ginseng is usually not included in the ingredients of samgyetang on the market. It's good that this package contains ginseng. If you want to add ginseng, you have to buy ginseng separately, but there are a lot of samgyetang ingredients in the ginseng, so you only need to buy chicken. Just put a pack of good dried herbal medicine ingredients along with ginseng and boil it. I feel energized in my body. In order to overcome the summer well, you need to be well nourished. It's a reliable product made with ingredients made at a gagopa farm in Korea. These are good ingredients that can't be tasteless. It smells and tastes good. I'm impressed, so I recommend this samgyetang ingredient.

As an enthusiast od Korean cusine, I recently had the pleasure of trying out Samgyetang with herb kit. It is perfect kit to have original korean chicken soup. It is very convenient.

Nice and basic samgye-tang soup mix!
Nice soup mix, and it's as extremely easy as dumping in a pot of water and boiling till done. I didn't have a Cornish hen on hand, but I did have an extra large leg quarter that worked out fine. I roasted the chicken first with a light coat of peanut oil, then added it to the mix and slow cooked everything for two hours. As is, it's okay. It definitely is heavy with astragalus root though. Adding more ginger improves the flavor if you don't have a stuffed hen on hand. But good to work with!

Samgyetang, not just for the summertime!
Traditionally, Samgyetang is a summer time dish designed to “fight fire with fire “ during the hot summer weather. However, it’s so good, I love it year round! Samgyetang is a ginseng infused soup that is healthy and delicious 🤤 To make, in a large pot, add water, garlic, green onions and Samgyetang herbal ingredients. Cover, bring it to a boil and reduce heat to medium low, simmering for 10 minutes. At this point you may add your other desired ingredients. Traditionally, a chicken is stuffed with sticky rice, garlic, jujube etc and boiled with the broth. It really is delicious!!
