Great little seed starter
This is a great little seed starter with the ability to open and close for air to come through. All the lights work and give off good light. These are small enough that I can fit them between gaps next to my larger trays and still have long cords for the lights to work.

The combination of the grow lights and the venting are awesome!
I really like this product. The seeds germinate faster. The plants are stronger. I've already grown flowers that are difficult to grow.

Very good for the price
This is my first time I’ve used a seed starter tray and these are pretty great. I like that it allows drainage. I’m trying to grow harder seeds, so who knows of anything will sprout. The only thing I don’t like is that the lungs don’t clip on at all and can just fall off. That’s fine for inside but for outdoor stratification, it’s an issue.

Easy to set up and use.
This is a great product for starting seedlings. Retains moisture and can be used over and over. It is a bit hard to get the seedlings out of the individual pods for transplanting Since the material is strong and only as a small hole in the bottom. It would be nice to have a scoop or a compostable liner that is sized for the pods to extract the plant and soil. Or a removable bottom on the pods. I would purchase again.

Difficult to remove finished product
I agree that these are good quality, easy to use, and reuse. I bought a second order before my seeds were completely germinated. The problem I had was trying to push the plant from the starter kit without the whole thing falling to pieces. The plastic containers are just too small to work with. The cheap plastic, non reusable type that nurseries use are a lot easier to use.

perfect environment for starting seeds
These little greenhouses are really terrific. They hold small flats of peat pots and provide the perfect environment for getting seeds started. Here, in Hawaii, I was able to get our herb and vegetable garden started early outdoors. These protected my seedlings from both the environment and, more importantly, pests. I had started some seeds on a planting table before these arrived. My seedlings were attacked by snails and rodents, and the few which survived were killed by torrential rain the next week. It either battered them, or drowned them, or washed them away. My only survivors were the ones which I started in these little greenhouses.I still had a few sets from last year, but not enough to get all of my seeds started. (That is, a variety, samples from the seeds I ordered). I ordered this set so I could get some of everything going, and they are working very well. Here we do not really need a humidifier dome because the ambient humidity is usually 80- 100%. Still, I could see that they work very well in that respect, so if you do not live with our level of humidity (and practically noone else does) they will provide it and keep you delicate seedlings from drying out. They are tall enough for seedlings to grow to about 1" to 1.5" which is tall enough to transfer to a larger container, raised bed or wherever their permanent home is. I do still lose some after I transplant, but these get them off to a better start than anything else I have tried.

These are so Perfect!
These seed trays with LED lights were such an ingenious idea (Xmas gift) I immediately ordered myself a second set. In just a few days I'm in business. Excited about the head start for this spring.

The hardest part is getting the seedlings out
These are small, compact, and we had good success sprouting most seeds. As noted in the headline, getting the seeds out in the a bit tricky. We use the small piece of stiff plastic twice as wide as one of the seed holders and bent it is 90° angle through the middle, and slid the angle down one of the corners and use that to wiggle the seedling out.A tiny scoop of some kind might work. The problems make more difficult because the base of the planter that holds a seedlings is incredibly flexible so you need to leave it inside the main housing while you do this and of course by tipping it which you end up having to do you take the risk of dumping a bunch of loose seedlings out.To be fair, good value for the money and if you have the patience with the transplanting process, you should have a higher level of success with the usual monitoring the moisture and the like.Despite the four-star rating I did buy a second second set.
