...clean looking, this sits on my desk and holds all that junk that was there 5 minutes ago. and because a magnet will attach to it, todays appointment cards neatly attach to the side. For the first time in a long time this simple box has made the beautiful top of y desk always visible. Worth every penny!

The OSALADI Silver, Tinplate Storage Containers with Lids, is fabricated of very thin material and extremely susceptible to dents and creases. The slightest mishandeling such as gripping the sides too tightly, or accidentally bumping it against another harder object, leaves marks or dents in the surface. The initial appearance is good however, after a little use it looks poor. The unit purchased had several slight dents in the sidewall and a very small crease in the upper edge of the cover when it was unboxed. This could have occurred in shipping however it was packed well in an undamaged container.The box appears to be constructed of two stamped and rolled sheets folded and seam rolled together to form the box and sides. The cover is a separate stamped and rolled edge part. The fit of the cover is very good and it is easy to install and remove. The seam produced in one corner of the sidewall has a very noticeable that appears to have been man made and slightly non uniform.The box measures true to size as described. The design is such that which doesn't allow one box to be nested and stacked inside another and therefore requires a lot of storage space for empty containers. The box will not nest within the lips of the lid so that it can be stacked when filling.Due to the forming process, there is a small, narrow, seam gap between the sidewalls and the base of the box. It extends around the entire periphery of the box. This seam can trap debris and bacteria and is very difficult to clean, For this reason it would not be wize to store unpackaged foodstuffs as they may become contaminated. Due to it's ferris material and construction technique it is not recommended to store liquids or wet items. It is not claimed to be water tight.
