I think that some of the negative reviews come from the fact that people are not expecting the look of the shoe to be a clog. By this, I mean, the shoe does slide up and down at the back of the heel as you walk. In regards to sizing, I usually do wear a 9 1/2, but realized that my foot is nowhere near a 10 so I ordered what some people are considering a size down. I noticed that The cardboard insert that comes with a shoe says 39–40 if this helps someone else.

I order these and normally wear a 38 in Dansko but the 38 was way too big. I sent back and ordered these 37. They are a bit shorter in the toe but was not too wide. After warring them a couple times I have found these to be one of my favorite casual shoes to wear!

I don't know why I thought a Dansko shoe would be light, but this is a Mary-Jane type and that's what I thought. It's an attractive shoe and looks nice on. It has great support. But it's often not the first I pick because I know that by the end of the day, I'll be trudging along. I do like them, though.

These are the first Dansko’s that didn’t fit perfectly for me. The Velcro straps were also disappointing because even though they fit slightly larger, a sizable strap could have helped with that issue. These Velcro also is not very secure. I was disappointed as I love the color and texture of the shoes.

These are all day comfortable, and grab attention wherever I go. I normally wear an 8.5/9 in American sizes. I ordered these in a 39 and they fit great. I liked them so much I also got a pair of the fuzzy-lined boots in the same footbed. I went up to a 40 for those, to give room for the fuzzy and my foot, and that worked perfectly.

strange fit. I have a lot of Dansko shoes, but didn't not like this one.

Love, love this Mary Janes. I got the green pair and it’s a lovely shade and just bought the black. My shoes are almost all Danskos. Wear them to work as an ICU Nurse. And wear the more stylish ones other days. Especially love the Mary Jane styles. I love that this is more low profile than Beatrice. I don’t understand the complaints about sizing. Dansko always have roomy toe-boxes. I am size 6 and 36 is a perfect fit .The company always say that you have to have a finger width between the shoe and your ankle so that your ankle slides up and down when you walk. I have been buying Danskos for 20+ years and never did I have sore feet or legs. Please make these in other colors.

Needed a new pair of shoes to wear around work (I stand and walk a lot). I have a good old pair of Dansko professional clogs, size 41. I ordered a size 41 for this shoe and works great, especially for my flat and wide feet. I have been wearing them since I received them, a bit over a week or two and they are very comfortable. They are also cute which I have worn for a recent nicely dressed thing. Highly recommend.
