Cars of the 1960s: High Performance and Muscle

The editors did a good job of covering the decade. I also have the 70s version. Lots of interesting text, not just photos. All this info can be found online, but for the price this book is a fun and quick reference and no batteries or electricity required. If you know someone old or young that appreciates books and car books, I recommend this series. My library has the 50s edition so I don't have to buy it. I may donate this to my library, but I hardly ever see any young people check out books, they just play on their phones and have no interest in old cars. That's the way the cookie crumbles.

I first saw this book in Cracker Barrel store and made the mistake of not picking it up. I went back and it was gone. I have been in close to 20 Cracker Barrel restaurant's since in many states looking for it without success. I found it on Amazon and had it in my hands in three days! It brought back many memories for me since I grew up during the 60's lusting over the "Cars of the 60's"!!!

Didn't feel it was done as well done as the book on the cars of the '50s. The committee effort may not have been the best idea. However, it was an OK follow up and seems like a necessary library addition to round out the end of the dream of the American automobile era.

This book on the cars of the 60's is very well done. Great pictures and good information as I lived through the 60's. My first car was a 63 Chevy. The book came in like new condition and I would not hesitate to order a used book again.

This book was missing from my collection of the other great books in the series, all of which are excellent, and a great addition to any car buffs library. As with the others,the photography is abundant, and excellent, and the information provided is invaluable. I was pleased to purchase a copy through Amazon.com..

The many pictures and cultural context that they are put in is so enjoyable to see and read. I love these books - the 40s, 50s, and now I have the 60s. They are all well worth the money.
