Expensive and poor qualilty
The biltong maker is elegant but has a number of flaws; the worst being the quality and durability of the fan. The fan supplied with the biltong maker started sounding like a congested tractor after around the third use so we bought this spare fan. After installing it, after less than 12 hours of use, it also sounds like the bearings are worn. It might be better to buy a £3 computer fan and rig it up to run from a USB from one's computer. Hardly a satisfactory solution given that the original maker costs some £100. Very, very disappointed.
