Great for pedal board soldering.
Works way better than the standard solder sucker. Kinda hard to press the stopper down far enough to lock it with one hand, though.

This is the legit one. don't buy the knockoffs.
I saw this 'kind' of solder sucker a few times and though 'hey that's a great idea, it looks way better than those 30 year old blue RS ones". so I bought one. it was bad. bad bad bad so bad. the plunger would jam every single pump. the end went flying. I threw it away. I then saw this one. It looked a bit different. so did some research on the company. turns out they make legit tools. This was enough to convince me to actually throw down money again on this kind of product. This is the one. it works INCREDIBLY well. fits nicely in your hand. The others were way larger and more cumbersome. Suction is extremely powerful and cleans most holes in one shot. In fact it can pull so much solder in one shot that cooled bits will likely pop back out when you go to reload so make sure to do it over a bowl/cup. It's easily reloadable and triggerable with one hand, not having to contort your hand in extreme ways to do it. It even comes with a couple inches of extra replacement tubing you can cut as needed. It also hasn't jammed on me once. 5/5 across the board. this works exactly like you would expect and is well worth the money. recommending this to other EE friends.

Hopefully you find this helpful
I recently got my hands on the Vampire Tools Solder Sucker, and it's been an absolute revelation in my desoldering tasks. The heavy-duty aluminum body feels robust and durable, a significant upgrade from the more common plastic variants. Its non-clogging feature is a real time-saver, maintaining efficient and clean operation throughout my projects. The heat-resistant silicone nozzle is another standout feature, easily withstanding temperatures up to 350℃. This has allowed me to work on various tasks without worrying about damaging the tool. Plus, the high-power suction is impressive, efficiently removing solder with minimal effort. Additionally, the inclusion of a spare silicone tube is a thoughtful addition, ensuring the tool's longevity and readiness for continuous use. Being made in Japan, the quality and craftsmanship of this tool are evident in its design and functionality. It's clear that attention to detail and durability were key considerations. In summary, the Vampire Tools Solder Sucker is a top-tier tool for anyone in the soldering field. Its durability, efficiency, and high-quality construction make it a worthwhile investment for both professional and hobbyist use. Highly recommended for a hassle-free desoldering experience.

Well built
After getting tired of going through solder suckers frequently I thought I'd try a nice one. The Vampire is beautifully built and feels great in my hand. It looks like it will last far longer than the cheap aluminum ones. I like the flexible silicone tip as I can get better contact with the solder pad. Now for the cons so far: I had trouble depressing the plunger with one hand and after releasing it. I had to use two hands to get it back down. The spring is quite stiff and couldn't get it back down every time. The nozzle clogged up most uses and had to use my other hand to force the plug out. To be fair, I was working on lead-free solder which gets very hard immediately after melting. This stuff is a pain to work with, at least with my set up. With regular 60/40 solder it worked much better. although my hand hasn't gotten used to it yet. It does have a nice solid feel in my hand and I look forward to having a better tool to use. All in all a great piece of kit *** AMENDED REVIEW *** Got a chance to actually use the Vampire under normal conditions (regular rosin core solder). Works great. removes an eyelet of solder the first time and clears out much easier, ie with my thumb. The spring is a little stiff, but that's what makes it suck better. Anyway, works fab on normal solder and should probably use a rework station for lead-free solder.

Near Perfect solder sucker for the price- get this one
I've known about the Vampliers brand for hand tools and didn't realize they made their own version solder sucker. It works exactly how you would hope- heat up the solder joint (add solder if needed), then hover or place the silicone tip onto the joint and press the button. Through holes clean up in just one or two tries, and there is a good chance the component will fall out rather than still having to nudge it while damaging the pads. This solder sucker is also very comfortable in the hands unlike some of the really cheap eBay ones that are knockoff of the Weller sucker and that don't even have finished edges. This one is relatively easy to clean as well. If you don't do enough rework to warrant a Hakko solder sucker, or even yihah solder sucker head for its station, this is the next best one to get.

A big improvement over ones I have used for decades.
There are three main things I like about this tool...its compact size, the silicone tip, and the strong and quick suction. I have used the longer and heavier devices for decades, and they do work, but this one works a lot better. It is small enough to easily fit my small hands and allow one handed operation. The piston is light enough to move quickly without a lot of kick back. The silicone tip is flexible enough to make a good seal over a small soldering iron tip so it completely clears through-holes. The build quality and materials make it just work.

This is not your grandpa's Radioshack squeeze bulb thing - this sucker actually works. Takes a little getting used to, but quick and easy once you have the hang of it. Significantly faster than using traditional, disposable, solder wick. Also saves your components from the stress of having to be heated for long enough for the wick to do it's thing. Should great for most through hole joints. I've also used it for removing a couple larger surface mount items and it did fine - though i suspect it may be trouble around tiny SMDs - could suck the whole component up. Seems to be well built, I can imagine it should hold up well long term. I've done about 200 joints with it so far and the original silicone tip seems like it still has plenty of life left to go. Highly, highly recommend! It had been sitting in my wish list for years - wish I hit the button far sooner.

Best Solder Sucker I have even used.

This product is made very well. The silicon tip never burned or melted and provides a more efficient way to suck solder. It never jammed during my project to the point where I would need to open it and clean it, however, the downside of that seems like it spits out solder more frequently than a regular cheap solder sucker. The product does carry a small footprint, from experience this product not primed is the same size as a primed cheap solder sucker. It does allow for easier single-handed use. The plunger feels sturdy and never once did I question the quality of the product or any of its parts during my project.
