E3D Volcano Silicone Sock 3 Pack (VOLCANO-SOCK-3PACK)

Excellent product, but caveat emptor, these are designed to fit the version of the Volcano heat block with the cartridge thermistor. It will, in fact, slip onto the block with the little hole and retaining screw for a glass bead thermistor, but there will be extra room at the back, so the whole thing will end up slightly angled. Just be careful it doesn't end up below the line of the extruder tip -- I've never had an issue with it, but something to watch for. I've ordered some of the newer cartridge-style thermistor heater blocks to eliminate any worry here, but in a pinch, it works.

My original block didn't have a boot. Adding the all metal block and heat break I decided to add this as well. Good product for sure.

excellent product needed for any volcano setup.

It works as expected, but the one I ordered was for the actual E3D Volcano Nozzle with a cartridge Thermister that screws into the top, and required some creative engineering to get it to fit with the standard bead type thermistor, as it has no space for the thermistor or wires, only room for the screws to tighten the heater cartridge, and will NOT stay on if you don't have the cartridge version or modify it to create an opening. SO make sure to match the version of heat block to the sock.

They fit the genuine hot end correctly but are very easy to tear.

These are of excellent quality! I highly recommend. Actually last. If you drill or cut a hole in the side, you can use these with clone volcano heater blocks. Hold is allow clearance for thermistor retaining screw on the clones.

everything E3D is good quality.keeps my nozzle hot and looking great! plus I like the color, ood reminder to keep your flimsy fingers AWAY from the HOT nozzle.
