The Soncino Press Edition of The Pentateuch and Haftorahs. Hebrew Text, English Translation & Commentary (Second Edition)

It is a beautifully printed large format volume with the diacritical marks included under the Hebrew letters, so those of us who are not Hebrew speakers can figure out how to pronounce the words.I think I submitted a review of this book a few weeks ago. Perhaps I didn't send it.

This vintage book, a re-issue of the original, is a treasure:- the Hebrew Bible (Tanach) with English translation and very valuable comments by renowned Bibllical scholars. It is a pleasure to have and to hold. I bought it for a friend's 80th birthday.

A friend recommended it, and I am grateful I bought it. The commentaries bring the writings to life and make them relevant to present times.
