Against the Current: Paddling Upstream on the Tennessee River Paperback – 28 Feb. 2021

Great read!I'm currently kayaking the entire TN river and this book has been a great help as it's given me an excellent preview of what lies ahead for me on my journey.It's also a very entertaining and philospohically thought provoking experience of the author and his dog.This is an extremely well written, honest impression, of the author's second Huck Finn-like camoe adventure.It includes his encounteres with people, places and wildlife, on the water and along the shores, comparing those experiences and "the wheels of progress", along the 652 mi. waterway to his first journey 23 years ago.It's very insightful and fun to read!

I recently flew across the country and read Kim's Against the Current on the way. The story made the flight pleasant, sitting in a plane full of strangers I felt like l was talking with an old friend instead of reading a book. I had the good fortune to enjoy two journeys at once. Thank you Mr. Trevathan for taking the adventure and writing it down. Paddle on.

This book is so well written, the reader experiences paddling up the Tennessee River with Kim & Maggie! It is a great read!
