Amazing House!
This house came as described. All the pieces were included. The wood was sturdy. We had two small glitches. #1.) There is a mix-up with the screws for the upstairs railing. Step 5 mixes up F(4pieces) screws with E(4pieces) screws. We figured it out because another reviewer mentioned it, so my son caught it and fixed it. Not a big deal, there was no damage. Just keep it in mind. #2.) Step 5, small guardrail, one of the legs was a little long so the wooden pegs could not line up. My son sanded the leg just enough to make it fit. Also not a big deal. The directions are very easy to follow & the house was quickly put together. All my son needed was a screw driver. It went together in 30-45 minutes. It is not extremely heavy. **One important feature this house has, that almost all of the others are lacking, is an escape door! Mama can go out the side plastic door with a wood frame, but an outside animal can not push the door in. The front door is open, but a larger animal should not be able to get in before the cat can escape. A few people were complaining the doors are small, but cats can squish through very small spaces, and I think that ensures a coyote, large dog, or other animal can not easily get into the dwelling. That was the most important safety feature that I was searching for.**The outcome is a fabulous house that will shelter Mama and hopefully make her feel like this is permanent, this is her forever home. Mama appears to be very slender, weighs about 8-9lbs and is full grown. My son took the house outside last night. The crate mat, self warming bed, cooling mat, blanket, and cat nip teddy bear are all supposed to arrive today. But her food stand with bowls arrived a couple days ago so I placed that on the top patio with her breakfast this morning so she would try the house out. It took her a few minutes, but she figured it out. She was able to stand up and eat, no scrunching down. There is plenty of space to stretch out and plenty of head room. We took the suggestion from other reviewers and bought the catnip teddy bear to interest her in going inside if she wasn't so sure.**My family purchased this house for a beautiful stray cat that adopted us. April 8, 2017. My son and I found her giving birth in our yard. We kept Mama fed and the little family sheltered from the elements. After the Animal Shelter picked them all up once the babies turned 8 weeks (they would have uthenized them before 8 weeks), including Mama, they got the babies ready for adoption, neutered the Mama, then dropped her back on our street several weeks later. I was devastated for her, but it was that or they would kill her since they said she was not adoptable. Mama found her way back to us. A little shaken up, a little fearful, but she found us. We have been feeding her whenever she shows up and leave fresh water out for her daily. But the last couple of weeks she has come every day, for every meal. And instead of eating and running off, she has been lounging and napping for hours. We want her to feel loved and like she has a family and a permanent home. We are allergic to cats and have an indoor dog, so this was our only option. Plus it is getting colder at night, and soon winter will be here. My family is thrilled with this house. It was a great purchase. I would buy it again in a heartbeat.

I LOVE this adorable well built outdoor cat house
I LOVE this adorable well built outdoor cat house. We are taking care of two cats that were abandoned. One of them had been in our neighborhood for awhile (other neighbor was helping take care of him and letting him in her house. He couldn't go in my house because I have a cat and she freaks out and it turns into a fight. With my cat being very old I didn't want her to get hurt). 6 months ago another cat showed up who was very skittish (almost to the point of very feral. It took 2 months before he would go anywhere near me; he would stay about 15 feet from the dish and wouldn't go near it until I went inside. I fed both of them because I didn't want to them to starve, and I didn't want them to be put to sleep so I didn't call anyone. Now he absolutely loves me wants to be picked up, petted ,purrs, etc. He is getting better around other people, but still a little weary around others; especially men. They both love my husband now though. They are both buddies and do everything together. For the most part they stay in my yard, and follow me when I go to the neighbors lol. The first cat Gato for the most part now wont go in my neighbors house because he wont leave Boots alone (which is good because the neighbor now has 2 cats so it can become an issue. They love my patio because I have comfortable furniture out there, and had a heavy duty canopy over it, so during the winter they were protected from the rain, small snow we get, and other things. I put blankets out there and shut part of the canopy. Well, at the end Feb here in Washington in Olympia we had unusual snow ( had a decent amount and then it rained/turned to ice early the next morning). Long story short the melting snow combined with the ice broke the canopy (bent the metal top and sides). We rigged it so the part that was broke would stand up to get them through the rest of winter into the spring. I didn't want them to freeze and wanted them to have somewhere comfortable for this up and coming fall/winter. We tore down the canopy but since the summers are nice they are fine on the lawn chairs with their blankets. We wanted to get them used to the house now before fall comes, so about a month ago my husband built the cat house. It was very easy to build and everything fit/went together nicely. It is the cutest thing I have ever seen. I looked at over 60 cat houses and this one was a very good value and had great reviews. I am very glad I bought this. I was a little worried about them sleeping or using the bottom part (since they were more wild cats) but with the escape hatch (can get out, but nothing can get inside it from the outside escape hatch) they seem to be okay with it. They have been using the cat house more and more (I believe they will use it more once I put their bedding in there and it becomes fall time). I will update after the winter to let you know how it held up and how they did. We are going to spray it with the outdoor protection spray to give it extra protection from the elements (can costs about $4 and it will use about 1/2 the can). The stairs on this are adorable and they love perching on the very top of the roof so they can see inside better. I would recommend this house for your outdoor kitty needs. (sorry this is so long). Thanks for making a cute product at a good price (it was $100 compared to similar ones at over $200+).

very nice cat house
very nice cat house. My only issue is that the instructions are pretty much only pictures and the pieces are not labeled, except for the screws.so, I thought I did a great job, the first time, looking at the picture and lining it up. Realized I had 2 of the pieces in the wrong spot.( the instruction page does not show a door on either of the openings. You have to figure out which one should be there yourself)so, I had to take the whole thing apart and put it back together. I was very careful to look at the all of the pieces when I put it back together. After all was put together I saw on one side of the small top pieces that there are 2 small holes there but they are on the outside with nothing to be attached to it. So, it looks like I will need to do over. Luckily it does go together pretty quickly though.I have not put the ramp or roof on yet. Looks like 3rd time will be the charm.obviously this is just my error but I am assuming someone else probably had the same issue. my suggestion, look at the finished product on the instructions first, work backward, and then start putting it together.don't let my boo boo deter you from buying this. it is well made and very cute. The only other thing is that if you have a large cat they may not want to use it as the doorways are small. My kitten of about 6 months and loves it.There is enough room for a large cat inside, they are just not comfortable with going through the smaller door.
