Motorcraft CM-5165 Fuel Injector

Great replacement for injector throwing P0202 code. Fits and works great on 2010 Ford Edge. Checked continuity before installing, and reads right on with the other 5 injectors.

Nothing wrong with OEM

Worked great on a 2009 Ford Taurus that for some reason had one of the injectors go bad. The car had 134,000 miles. The diagnostic code read open fuel injection circuit for the middle cylinder, rear bank on the V6. These injectors should normally measure about 12 ohms resistance, the bad injector read 40,000 ohms and did not fire. The car was missing badly, running on 5 cylinders before replacement. After replacement, it ran great again. Replacing the injector is a lot of work, and really should only be done by a mechanic with good skills. But if you can do it yourself, you will save a lot of money.

I am writing this with anger. I was suppose to buy 6 bosch injectors but the seller only had 5, I went ahead and bought the 5 then buy the remaining 1 from this seller to complete the 6 I needed. I fixed all 6 and immediately got a misfire on cylinder 3. I assumed it was the coil or sparkplugs because there's no way a brand new motorcraft injector would fail...right? I swapped the coils and spark plugs but still a misfire on cylinder 3. I had to unmount the injectors AGAIN to look at it, and to my surprise it was this motorcraft injector that didn't work. All the 5 bosch injectors had a white writing on the body, only the motorcraft one had orange writing, it was very easy to figure out. I replaced the motorcraft injector with the old one previously in the car and the misfire disappeared. Look at the image and see exactly how I received "a brand new injector" exactly how i received it 100% nothing else.....what a joke! Stay the hell away from this injector, it doesn’t work, it's a rip-off!

Totally worked as advertised. Dreaded check engine light, then the p0206. Ordered and replaced #6 injector and the car runs so good now. It is very easy to replace, so I'll wait until others begin to fail to replace them. but, when I do, I'll be with this injector.
