Nice little plates for kids or dogs.

Western countries—especially the United States—are facing ever increasing rates of obesity. Much of this has to do with what we eat, but some of it is also due to how much we consume. I still have a few of the bowls and plates I grew up with in the 1960s. My parents got them as a wedding present in 1952 and I have them in a special place. By today's standards, the items are tiny; many would not look at them today and consider them capable of holding adult portions. Really, though, they are the size they should be. I've read studies that have shown that people using small plates eat less.I use one of these plates on a daily basis. I like its size, weight, and the fact that it won't break if I drop it. I also like the idea that it will decompose, eventually. And while this may be something just a few of us are weird about, in my case very, I like that when you bang it against something the sound it produces is minimal compared to ceramics.I hand wash it so it'll probably last a long time. I do see some light scratches where I've used a knife to cut something, but I don't mind a little visible history on things I use. I live alone so if and when the plate I'm using does wear out, I'll just start using another one!

These are simple but stylish plates. They feel lightweight but sturdy and have been super easy to clean. I love the raised edge so sauces will stay on the plate.I will say, they are ever so slightly smaller than I thought based on the picture but I'd say that's more a customer error on my side so be sure to double-check the size before you order.Def worth a purchase!

I love the size and contour of these plates. They have a higher lip on them which makes them good for salads or something that's kind of soupy like black eyed peas. And the nostalgic colors remind me of plates my great-grandfather had when I was young. Love them.

Love these plates! Going to order a set for my three nieces heading to college this fall! Nice to have these so we don’t have to use our blue willow every day! Just the right size!

We use these right away every time we get them out of the dishwasher. They've held up to months of use. The plates are a great size and are wonderful for juicy food that might otherwise spill.

I bought these plates to replace thin plastic ones that could not be microwaved. I wanted a smaller plate to microwave breakfast items like sausage patties, babana bread, and small leftover portions. These plates are perfect. They are VERY sturdy, very smooth and easy to clean. I have used them in the microwave several times with no problems, not too hot to handle when you take it out of the microwave. The colors are light and attractive. They are well worth the money and I can tell they are going to last a long time.

I have only used them a couple times so far. I bought them for my husband and I for everyday dinner plates. It helps keep portions smaller. The lips also are useful as he can only use his right hand due to stroke and it helps him not have food all over the table. The plates they have for disabled are very expensive and these seem like they might be good replacements. They washed in the dishwasher fine. I'm happy so far. Pretty colors too.
