The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild The Complete Official Guide: -Expanded Edition

I am so happy that I bought this book! A few days after starting BOTW for the first time, I saw this at a store and thought, "wow, that would be great!" but with the $40 price tag I left it on the shelf. Later that day I went on Amazon to look it up... lo and behold it was on sale for $22! I ordered it immediately, and have used it every day since. As a brand new BOTW player this guide has been invaluable. I've heard such wonderful things about this game for years and had a feeling I would love it too, and while that was true from the start, I still found myself very overwhelmed by just how vast this game is. I didn't really know where to start and had a hard time figuring things out on my own since the game offers little in terms of tutorials and whatnot. I was Googling every time I got stuck (which was a lot lol) and while the internet is a great resource, it began to feel like an even grander jigsaw puzzle trying to piece together info from dozens of different articles. Enter this book, and my gaming life has changed. It has just about everything I could need and more. The primer in the beginning was fabulous with all the tips about combat, environmental factors, etc, and all of the other chapters about specifics in the game are amazing. I seriously would have never figured out some of those shrines and side quests without this guide, or anything else for that matter lol. My gameplay has improved ten fold since buying this book and I'm enjoying BOTW more than I would without it, surely. I have the book open on my desk every single time I play now. And the MAP! The map is wonderful. I haven't unlocked the whole map in the game yet, so having a paper copy to refer to is really helpful. It's a little cumbersome to open/fold up every time, but honestly there's something about having a physical copy that's easier to look at than "interactive" maps online sometimes so I'm not bothered by it. As far as the physical aspects of the book go, I'm happy with the copy I got. I saw a lot of reviewers had issues with damage, and the top right corner of mine is a little bent from transit but otherwise the book is in really good shape. I agree that the text could be bigger too, but with the whole book at a whopping 500+ pages I understand why it's so small. I don't see any issues with the pictures either, they're good enough quality for me and show what I need. If there's anything I want to see a little more in depth I still turn to the internet, but overall the book is my first and usually last resource every time. And of course, the cover is beautiful too--it'll be a great display/collector's piece for whenever I'm finished with it. To sum up this long review, I couldn't be more pleased. This guide is worth every penny of the $22 I paid, and after cracking it open and seeing all it has to offer, it's worth the full $40 price tag too. I foresee myself enjoying BOTW for a long, long time to come with this book right by my side. And whenever I get to play TOTK, I'll be buying that guidebook too! I'm officially addicted to the Legend of Zelda franchise and this guidebook is partially to thank for it. :)

I bought this book back in 2020 while playing through BOTW and it is worth its weight in rupees. While I do enjoy the challenge of discovering and working through things on my own, I appreciate having a crutch. Listen, once upon a time I’d never think to reach for the book and scroll through its glossy, illustrative and detailed pages for a hint. However! I’m a grown man with nothing to prove and less and less time on my hands. While working full time + OT and managing a kiddo at home, it’s not even close to my intention to spend a shameful amount of time figuring something out. I particularly appreciated the recipe book and found it very helpful. Well a finished BOTW while my daughter was a wee little one and am thankful to have had the assistance of the book when needed. I’m now finally getting to TOTK as she’s nearing 3. I’ll be damned if I’m not buying Piggyback’s guidebook for that as well. I remember reading several reviews prior to purchase that the text was too small. I cannot deny that the text is smaller than I would call ideal but it’s absolutely legible to an average eye. Only other slight hiccup I can recall is being slightly disappointed when the book arrived with a few dings and a tear on the spine. Probably not the sellers fault at all and a shipping issue, it still reads just fine!! Not only is this book very detailed, contains MANY useful images (even if they are screenshots! Guess what? You’re going to see the same thing on your screen!! It’s as if this book is intended to help guide you through the game. Oh wait….) This book is ART and will always be a wonderful momento.

As Nintendo has done since it's cooperation made us love Nintendo. They have always been part of the American family and helpful in every way. These books r masterfully crafted with art and knowledge as exciting as the Egyptian hyroglyphs. Totally worth your time and very affordable.

I’m still surprised when I think about how I only paid $30 for this book. Don’t get me wrong, I didn’t want to pay any more than that for any BOTW game guide but the writers really blew me away with the quality and content in this guide. See, it’s not just a guide. It’s an instruction manual, data analysis, tips & tricks, walkthrough, navigation, work of art. This book contains so much more than just a walkthrough and I love it because of that. The hard cover is beautiful, the map is amazing, it’s really all you could ever want in a BOTW book for $30. Only one complaint and it’s directed at Amazon for the shoddy shipping job and damage to the corners of the book. I’m dealing with it because I love the book but it would have been nice if it came without damage.

If you are a fan of the Legend of Zelda series, particularly Breath of the Wild, then I highly recommend this book. It is filled with various strategies, artwork, and comprehensive information about the game. It is truly a collector's item that any Zelda enthusiast would appreciate.

The item is well protected for delivery. Just like most reviews, the wording in the whole guide is quite small. However, it can still be read easily because you will only read bit by bit while you are playing the game. The pictures are clear for you to understand what is to be done in order to get the items or where to move in order to reach somewhere. Highly recommend to every gamer that is looking for a complete guide book.

Produto maravilhoso, melhor que esperava, maior que imaginei, acompanha um pôster do mapa com detalhe bem grande dos dois lados, cada um com informações diferentes. Entrega e embalagem da Amazon deixa muito a desejar, os responsáveis pelas operações esquece do cenário brasileiro, rodovias, automóveis, recursos etc. só vem solto enrolado em um papelão, o livre veio amassado o canto inferior, isso quebra a experiência, esse é um item de coleção, deveriam ter uma atenção especial nesse tipo de entrega…. Todas minhas compras na Amazon tem esse problema, quando é um produto que tem sua embalagem original vem vem por já ter as proteções do fabricante, quando é um item avulso, como, jogo, livro, etc. sempre tenho problemas.
