Happy dogs!
These doors are great! Two of my three dogs have separation anxiety but do not get upset if they are outside. Decided to give these a shot and they are a lifesaver! I can finally leave my house and I know the dogs are happy outside with access to inside if they want it. These doors seem really well built and I love that they can be closed on both sides. They come with one metal door panel but you can purchase an additional one, which I did. They were pretty easy to install. I had one put in a solid wood door as well as metal door, both look great! No additional hardware was needed. The dogs picked it up pretty quickly. The flaps seem pretty sturdy but they don't exactly close very well on their own. I find myself realigning them often. But, in extreme weather, using the two metal doors will be helpful. I love the metal locking mechanism for the metal doors. I am very happy with this purchase.

Nice doggie door
This is a well made door it has 2 panels & 1 insulated panel. Definitely helps keep the door sealed with the magnetic strips. The only thing is the box was labeled for the wall which is what I thought I ordered but it is made for a door..I was able to make it work as I needed something immediately.

Get ready to be impressed
Whoa! This doggie door is way better than I expected. I'm not blowing smoke, and I'm not a pro reviewer paid by the company. I have two big dogs, and two cats. The old doggie door became a liabillity, so I had to replace it with this one. Hey, I didn't enjoy spending over 200 bucks for this surprise expense, but since I was forced to, I'm glad I chose Baboni. I got the XL size. It has 3 door flaps -- 2 translucent rubbery ones with a third, opaque insulating flap in the middle. The fact that those doors are substantial is why I had to replace my old doggie door. It's all because of this new kitty I recently got. The old door had only one flap, and it wasn't always shut closed but was askew and you could see around it. This doggie door leads from the kitchen to the garage, btw. And yet another doggie door in the garage wall leads to the outside. And my cats are indoor cats. This new kitty is extra curious and I caught it standing at the doggie door with great curiosity about what was on the other side. I can't have my cats even thinking about going outside as their lives would be in jeopardy because of predators. After all that, this Baboni doggie door with 3 flaps actually is a savior. After I installed it, the dogs went through like it was nothing. I don't think they even noticed it was a new doggie door. And there's no way the cats will ever think to go through it. It looks impassable to a cat. Installation was easy. The door is one those metal doors with a foam center. This Baboni door is taller than the old opening, so I had to cut into the door to the perfect size. Pro tip: use a side grinder with a metal cut off blade. You can follow your pencil line and burn right through. A jigsaw or reciprocating saw will not work because the two outer sides of the door will catch and bend. like you can't believe. You just can't do it without major destruction and chaos. Once you have your hole cut, it's just a matter of putting it together. The most difficult aspect of this stage is drilling the holes for the screws. In a door like this one, with the foam center, you holes on each side may not line up perfectly. Let me make that more clear -- THE WON"T LINE UP. So it's real hard to set up the doggie door frame on the door and put the screws in from one side to another. I found you need to have a steel rod the size of the screws but longer and push that rod through each screw hole from one side to the other. You make a path through the foam with the rod, then put your screw through the hole and fasten the nut on the other side. This is what takes the most time in the installation. I wouldn't be afraid, if I were you, to do this yourself. The Baboni doggie door is made of first rate materials, and the craftsmanship cannot be faulted. You'll really enjoy the look of it in your home. It basically saved my cats from ever going outside, and it looks like it will last forever. I am rarely this satisfied with a product I bring home, but in this instance, it is so good I felt like writing this review.

It's ok - fine quality but air does come in
It's ok. I was hoping for a better seal. There is definitely quite a bit of air that comes into the house from this. However, the quality of material is good. So it's not the best, but is definitely better than single door flaps. One thing I do really like is the metal cover that stops the dogs from going in and out. When it's shut, it's awesome, when it's up/open, the stopper is at a funny angle but doesn't affect the use of the door. Also, my cats can go through it without problems so that's also a plus as they are indoor/outdoor cats. Winter is about to hit, so I am a bit worried about the temps dropping near where the dog door is. In one of my pictures you can see how after my dog went outside the flap got stuck in a way that there's a decent gap (not huge but enough to let plenty of cold air in over time)

Love it!!!
This door is perfect!!! It's made great, easy to install (easy to understand instructions as well), & it works perfectly!!! I wish I had ordered it a long time ago! I love that it has the extra insulated flap. That's going to be such a bonus this winter!

Third flap doesn't close tight enough stays open
This is a great door but I live in an area where the weather isn't really a problem The biggest problem I have is mosquitoes and flies and if the door doesn't stay shut all the way then those bugs get into the house. I'm going to wait about 6 months to see if the flaps wear a little bit so they close all the way otherwise it's good for those people that live back east that need to keep the weather out. As with the three doors at least two of them are shut but with a third flap seems to stay open but not a big gap maybe only 3/4 of an inch

Seems energy efficient
I have a Pug. He was a little hesitant at first going through the dog door, but he has no problem with it now. I have had this for a few weeks. It seals magnetically on both side with an insulation pad in between. It keeps my enclosed patio much warmer than the single panel dog door I had before. I highly recommend this item. It was simple to install and included the hardware.

Overall a great purchase.
Installed in a window that my husband created a permanent fixture for. Works great as far as keeping drafts out. My cats don't like how hard it is to open as they have used only one that was suitable for warmer weather during the summer... but they are using it. My only complaint is that sometimes it doesn’t fully close and then it let's the cold air in. Worth the purchase though!

This size XL dog door is large enough for 100 lbs+ dog to pass through comfortably. It is a robust construction and seems to keep the draft to minimum with the three-flap system which includes a middle insulating flap. Be aware to position the dog door properly in the existing door, so that the cover can slide up and down without a door handle or window frame being in the way, otherwise modifications will have to be made. In my case, there is a protruding window frame, so a piano hinge allows for fixed horizontal operation of the dog door cover, and a latch secures it closed at night. Hinge and latch are screwed directly to the steel dog door frame. Have a tube of silicone or foam gasket ready during the installation to seal the dog door to the man door. A further modification may be to upgrade the supplied machine screws to 1/4" carriage bolts. It took a day or so for the dog to understand the concept of a special small door for it, but we are very happy with it.

Seems to be quite good quality. Metal parts are sturdy. My dog is a Great Pyrenees and will most likely be 100-120 Lbs. I ordered the XL door and I think it will be plenty big enough for her when she is done growing.
