Was a bit tricky at first but perfect when complete...
It was a bit hard trying to screw this up the thread on the waste basin, but eventually after keep turning i got it into position, when i tightened the brass nut on the waste basin the white plastic ring came off. Not sure if its supposed to do that. But it's secure and water tight which is something i've struggled to have with the sink i've got, so 5 stars. First time since i can remember there's no water collecting making a mess and stink under there so i'm happy.

Effective alternative to Putty and Sealants
Sealing sink wastes can be a messy and frustrating job using putty or sealant. This is an effective alternative which is straightforward to install. The deep cone shape allows it to deform for a watertight seal against the bottom of the basin. The central hole is a tight fit over the waste tail and is internally ribbed to ensure there is no leakage past the threads. I will be using these for all my future waste installs. The instructions are on the plastic packet and a bit sparse. The kit includes a foam washer which I couldn't identify in the instructions and didn't use.Fitting is straightforward but because of the tight fit over the tail it does take a little effort to work it into position. However, this is easily overcome and wasn't a signifiant issue for me. Overall, a neat solution to a frequently frustrating and messy job.

A must have for bathroom sink install
New sink was leaking, why they don't come with a seal like this by default who knows. A little tight to fit but thats the point. A must have for sink installs

It Really Works!
After an annoying recurring leak to my bathroom basin and as a last resort I ordered this product, albeit sceptical it would be successful. I carefully assembled the waste system encompassing the new sealing washers and rubber seal. It took about 45 minutes to complete the assembly, the rubber cone seal needed some washing up liquid as lubricant to ease its fitting onto the metal basin outlet. I have deliberately left this review for several weeks to ensure there is no recurrence of the leak and I’m pleased to report there isn’t any sign of leaking. I would highly recommend this excellent product!

Hole in plastic washer too large
One star for easy to use because the white lipped plastic washer has too large a hole,so the flange nut simply goes through it and serves no purpose. But there’s no leaks, yet

Perfect Solution
Quite why slotted wastes for sinks/basins with integral overflows do not include these as standard is quite frankly beyond me as this sort of seal is actually essential unless of course one wants to use a tube of silicon a time on the back nut and threads. I have marked as easy to install for anyone with a bit of base plumbing or DIY experience.Tip: Clean all areas of basin/sink before fitting and push the conical shaped rubber seal as far up the tread as you can before tightening back nut. The white ring and foam washer include in this kit are really not required; just use the seal and original back nut. £10 investment in a box spanner for the back nut well worth the money if you don’t have one. Un-spin the waste plunger and use a screwdriver to stop the whole waste turning whilst giving the back nut a final tighten from underneath (see photo). No need for any messy silicon or mastic etc whatsoever.Post Note: I have subsequently read other reviews on this product elsewhere and seen tips to use washing up liquid or WD40 as a lubricant to help get the conical washer up the thread and whilst I didn’t do this myself, on reflection consider this to be good advice as it is somewhat tight (as it should be).
