Works Well
This worked pretty well. I have a split toenail that I'm afraid might get torn off. I ordered the assorted sizes, trimmed one down, wear it most of the time, hopefully, my nail will eventually fill in. The only thing to watch out for is that if you wear it all the time, it might cause a bit of an abrasion from rubbing, so I've started taking off at night.

Protected my injured toe
Knocked my big toe nail off for the third time and had a trip planned to Cancun. The toe cover along with a waterproof bandage worked beautifully. I am intrigued to try the smaller ones for when I go hiking.

Make sure that they fit snuggly
This product covered the great toe that I had injured. However, I lost two of the covers because they came off unbeknownst to me when I was wearing sandals. I started using some tape to keep them more secure. They do offer very nice protection. Maybe I need a smaller size for my toe.

Great for problem toes
I love these. I have one toe ones h of my feet that turn down at the tip. This ruins the bail so these really help cushion the toe. Each one lasts for a long time in my opinion so worth the cost.

Just "meh" for missing toenail
Back in April, I did something stupid. My hands were full and the door that I needed to get through was 1) heavy and 2) not automated. In a rush, I braced myself and flung the door inward and open, a lot harder than I meant to, catching my left big toenail with the door along the way. The entire previously-perfectly-healthy nail came off cleanly in 1 solid piece. Honestly, it could have been a lot worse, but I still wouldn't recommend it.After 2 weeks of ointment and bandaging, the doctor said that the nailbed had healed up enough that I no longer needed to keep it bandaged. Yay! Having learned nothing from the accident itself, I'd continued wearing sandals for those 2 weeks and intended to keep wearing them...except that the nailbed area was still pretty wonky looking and scabbed over in one area. More than the appearance itself, I was concerned about dust, dirt, and other detritus working its way into some of the harder-to-clean crevices around the scabbed over area when I went for my daily lunchtime walk. I thought these might be a longer-lasting and less noticeable alternative to bandages......but they weren't. Yea, long story short, missing a toenail entirely, wearing one of these gel toe protectors over the affected toe, in sandals, didn't work out for walks. Sure, it kept the area clean, but it slipped constantly, gradually working its way up my toe, so that I'd have to stop and pull it back on. Obviously it got dirty, but it would only take a few days of wear before washing them off proved largely ineffective. Initially, the outside had a faintly flocked, velvety sort of texture to it, but daily washings did away with that in under a week, leaving behind a sticky, gummy surface that dust and dirt clung to horribly.I don't know, maybe I was asking too much of these things. But if you're looking for something to solve the same sort of problem, I'd suggest sticking with bandages for a bit longer.

Great for tennis toe.
My son developed tennis toe at the beginning of his season. He used these and was pain free while playing during the rest of the season.

Saved my pickleball game!
I'm losing my big toenail due to an injury. A bandaid works fine at protecting it most of the time but is not enough when I run or play pickleball. I thought I'd give these a try and they are great. Plenty of protection without feeling bulky in my shoes. You just cut them to the length you need and slide them on. I have worn them all day on a couple of occasions with no problem.
