This beautifully hand crafted real slate ornament is a wonderful natural addition to any aquarium or vivarium. We chisel our own parts from the finest slate available. We make the parts as big as possible in order keep the character of the slate. No machine cut edges or adhesive on display and finished with a natural look, just as you would see the slate before it is mined.

These large size slate formations have been specially chosen for the lovely grain and nice shape to become a magical bubbling formation ornament. All pieces have been filed, washed, sterilised and sturdily constructed using only aquatic safe materials. This ornament will not fade as do many resin based painted products.

Every item we make is unique, no two can ever be exactly the same. The item you receive will be similar to pictures 2 to 4.

Simply connect your standard 6mm air line to the back and air expels directly from the slate through tiny holes.

An air pump and air line is needed to run this ornament and is not included. We are including a valve in order to control the flow rate as some air pumps may produce a higher than desired airflow.

The dimensions including base are approximately 11cm width x 8cm depth x 29cm height.

Why Choose Slate? To achieve a natural looking habitat slate is an ideal material to use. The lovely texture, grain and shapes are eye catching, however the subtle shades of grey are neutral so will not clash with other colours. Many other types of rocks and wood can appear ‘messy’ when put together. Natural slate not only looks great but highlights and enhances the colours of the animals and plants it is placed with.
