Death by Acronym
One of my first books dealing with modern warfare; Beyond Vietnam era.Right off the bat, Acronym hell! "....towards the end of OSW, CAOC instigated a more agressive RO which rapidly saw the issuing of ATOs..." sheeesh! Most if not all of the book is this way. Now, I am an avid military history reader and consider myself pretty knowledgable in most Aconyms, but this is way in excess of what I know. This bombardment definately takes away from the narrative. Should definately be a glossary of terms in the back of the book! Other than this, the book is very well written. Not much action, but that is the reality of "modern" war. In fact not one Coalition A/C was lost to enemy action in Operation Iraqi Freedom, except blue on blue friendly fire incidents.Great reference material for the modeller as the color plates are excellent quality. Recommended for those who are ex military or have much patience in flipping back to see what all the acronyms mean.

Perfect Read for Hornet Fans
While we can all glimpse at the photos of jets online or be graced with their presence at an airshow, you can never fully appreciate the design, function and purpose of these jets until you read a book like this and learn how they were employed. An excellent read for any Hornet fan, and anyone who appreciates a finer look at how operations are conducted.

Nicht mehr so gut
Das Papier und die Photos sind in diesem Buch matt, was mir nicht so gefällt.
