I have used similar picture pins from a local diy chain before. These picture pins look exactly the same but much better. These pins go straight into solid walls with a few taps of the hammer, absolutely no problem at all. I was expecting to waste at least one or two pins, as the pins I previously bought from the diy chain bent or bounced off - which I attributed to my lack of skill. Well, sometimes a workman CAN blame his tools - if you use picture pins of inferior quality.

These were purchased for my wife. She had looked everywhere as she had used these over the years and had run out. Then asked if she could look at Amazon and then after going through what was on offer chose these. It was to hang some heavy brackets and on top was put some heavy items on top also - and it looks and works perfectly - was a bit worried as I said earlier that these were heavy but she put them up as soon as the pins arrived and days later they are still holding. She is more than pleased plus the price was perfect and she said that she would definitely ask me to buy them again should she run out of them.
