A great gift or starter kit to candle making.
I want to start off by saying I did not personally use this. HOWEVER. I got this as a gift for my girlfriend and was present when she used it a few times. I believe the kit comes with enough to make many candles and I was present for the making of three. It seemed easy to use, she had no issue making them. The candles came out clean, neat, and professional looking. The whole process made the house smell great too, just like when we burnt the candles later. The end product is gorgeous and smells great and we had fun making them! Clean up was also way easier than I expected it to be.

NICE STARTER KIT
The media could not be loaded. I LIKE THIS KIT. I WAS FINALLY ABLE TO PLAY AROUND WITH IT AFTER HAVING IT 'BOXED' UP FOR A YEAR. ITS EASY TO USE AND SET UP AND FOLLOW DIRECTIONS. I HAVE LEARNED THAT THE SMALL SIZE FRAGRANCE (10mL) IS NOT 'STRONG' ENOUGH FOR AN 8zo BAG OF SOY WAX.... REALIZED AN 8oz BAG CAN HANDLE UP TO 24-32mL (or 2TBSP) OF FRAGRANCE OIL...*JUST KEEP IN MIND IT CAN ALSO DEPEND ON HOW "POTENT" THE FRAGRANCE IS AND THE VOLUME OF IT, TOO*BUT IT IS NICE THAT THEY GAVE 4 SAMPLES OF 10mL OF ESSENTIAL OILS WITH THE KIT

Easy candle making for beginners
My wife and i are interested in creating candles on the side and have been watching alot of videos. When i saw this kit, i wanted to try it. The instructions were super simple to follow, it has everything you need. I loved the colors it came with. By the way, in the picture, all colors we used both blocks of dye except green, that green is only 1 block of dye, hoped it would be more of a lime green. But it was still nice. The only con we had is the scents, they smell great, but not very strong, minus the lavender, which i hear is usually very strong. But they all melted well, no smoke other than blowing them out. All in all a great starter kit.Well done.

Great Starter Kit
I got this as an introductory candle making experience for my family. It comes with just about everything you need to make four, 4-oz. candles in lovely tins. The only thing you need to provide is a double boiler and sharp scissors to trim the wicks. We loved two of the scents, liked one and felt "eh" about the fourth. You only need to use half of a color block (for each candle) to get a nice, rich color. The process was an easy way for us to gain some candle making skills that we can now use to create more candles. The kit may seem pricey, but when you consider the fact that you not only make four gift quality candles in tins, but you also have equipment to use again (pouring pot, thermometer), as well as leftover supplies (enough wick pieces and wax to make at least 3 small votive candles), I think it is well worth the price. If you were to purchase the equipment and packs of all the materials, you would probably spend at least that much, plus you'd have to research the process. This kit walks you through the steps, so you know what to do.I only have two issues: First, the directions leave room for error as they tell you to use a block of color. (Each color comes in a block with an indentation in the middle. We wondered if they meant to use the whole block, or break each block into two pieces and use one of those blocks. We did the latter and chose to make two of our candles the same color.) Second, we are so bummed this company does not sell their fragrances separately. We loved the Coconut Lime, and Clean Cotton scents, and wanted to purchase more. I know there are lots of fragrances out there, but it is always a gamble on whether you are going to like the scents.

This is a really easy and fun product
I'm totally thrilled with this kit. I have never tried anything like this before, but it was a piece of cake. Here are some things to know:1.) The wax isn't the highest quality, so when it cools it leaves slight ridges on the surface. Personally, I'm okay with that. It shows that I made them :)2.) Don't use the entire dye block! I mean, unless you want super dark candles. Break the block in half. I used half a block for each candle, and they turned out wonderfully.3.) The fragrances are extremely over-powering until the candle cools and hardens. I have a super sensitive nose, so this was a bit of a struggle. The easiest fix was to isolate them in a separate room until they were "done".4.) After my nose started functioning again, I was pleased with how each candle smells. I wouldn't say I love the fragrances provided, but none of them are offending. This was a great buy for me, and I'll most likely keep the tools included in this kit to make more candles in the future.

Nice little beginner kit -
I purchased this kit after I suggested to my Grand kids that we could make candles for their mothers and teachers instead of buying Christmas Gifts. I am never sure why, as the Grandfather, I suggest these things. I think of things that sound good in my head and it seems to spill out of my mouth before I can get them back. Having said it, I went looking for a way to make it happen. I found this little starter kit which only has supplies for 4 small 8 oz candles but makes a nice starting point. I bought a few more supplies (OK, A LOT) and the 5 grands (ages 6 to 16) and I started to make their candle gifts. It was no where near as bad as I envisioned. A bit of a mess but not horrible and this kit with pre-measured supplies was a nice way to begin the learning curve. It has 4 - 1/2 pound bags (2 lbs. total) of Soy Wax. Each bag makes 1 - 8 oz. container candle. Soy wax is very soft and doesn't seem to work well for molds (found that out the hard way...) but if you start with this kit and use the simple instructions, you can then easily buy more supplies to do more. We did 20 candles and the kids had a blast. I sent them home and took a nap... then realized my house ... well it was fun.

Nice starter kit
This is a cute little starter kit. It is reasonably easy to use. I would recommend using half of a dye brick (or less) for each candle. I used a half brick for 4 4 oz candles and the color was vibrant. I have not used the included scents yet so I cannot rate those. I do feel it is a little highly priced for the amount of product you get, but it is nice to have a dedicated heating pitcher and thermometer for my candle making going forward. Looking forward to using it a lot more in the future.
