Great little radio. Good reception on AM and FM, and sounds good for its size. I use it everyday. I decided to use the barrel jack power port on the side with a 4.5v adapter to eliminate the inside power transformers radio noise while listening to AM. Little did I know that the barrel jack would try to charge the batteries inside the unit. I picked the radio up and noticed it was warm. I unplugged it and opened the battery door. I put a piece of paper towel in the back to keep the battery door from buzzing while playing music, and a good thing I did. The batteries were warm and spraying an oily substance all over the battery compartment. I heard a hissing noise coming out of them, so I rushed outside and flung them into the snow. I didn't read anywhere in the instructions that the little port on the side was for charging. Great little radio, but just be aware to remove the batteries inside of it if using a external power adapter in the 4.5v port.

Better built than expected, it’s small but powerful speakers feels like good quality very sturdy base good value price.

It works fine. It's easy to operate. It's compact. And it looks good. The lack of a port for my earbuds is the only thing I don't like about it. It is still worth what I paid for it.

This radio is a convenient size and I appreciate the fact that you can plug it in the wall or use batteries. You can take it anywhere! The sound quality is good. I enjoy using it every day.

I ordered this Prunus radio along with the Panasonic RF-2400D. The Prunus was to be my bedside radio. Long story short - the Panasonic's sound quality and sensitivity were vastly superior compared to the Prunus. I actually compared the two units side by side. On both bands (FM & AM), the Panasonic performed immaculately. If you are only a FM listener, the Prunus does a good job, but the Prunus seems to pick up noticeable background noise on the AM band since its speaker sounds tinny. Also, the tuning knob is unorthodox - when you jog to the right, the dial pointer moves to the left and vice versa. In terms of build quality, it wasn't bad at all. However, the power LED was on the side which didn't make any sense at all. Since I listen to AM, I decided to return the Prunus.

I really like my new Prunus portable radio because it has great reception and I have the option of using batteries or plugging it in. I especially like that it is large enough to be stable unlike my previous portable that tipped over. The Prunus has two simple dials and specific AM and FM frequencies are easy to pick up. The affordable price would be hard to beat for a product of this quality. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this particular item as it's a good buy.

Works great, nice and compact. I highly recommend. Works great with a power hub when the power goes out.

This is really cute! ... Perfect size, can take anywhere ... Sound is clear soft & precise, I find the Control Knobs too close together to Comfortably use the controls & being small & lightweight, Antenna fully up, ur fingers get stuck trying to turn knob & radio looses balance & flips around ... but if ur finger's r small then ur un luck ! Lol ... its a Nice Little Radio though! Try it out ! U Decide !
