Premium Deer Antler Chew Toys (Large) The Boner

Purchased this for my 8-week old Chihuahua/Frenchie, and it immediately became his favorite thing. I felt kind of conflicted ordering a deer antler but the package says it's a shed antler and no animals were harmed. Such a relief! I'd definitely buy this again. Might do anyway just to have a backup around.

Thee are great for chewers! The only toy that keeps our puppy occupied that she can’t destroy right away! With every penny!

It was hiding in the box but I found it a few days later. My dog loves these.

A few months ago my dog chewed the end of a benebone off and swallowed it. Both my vet and I could see that something was making her sick, but we couldn't identify what it was. She ended up in emergency surgery. That's when we discovered it was that #@^%& benebone. I swore to NEVER give her any of those again.I needed to find an alternative that was X-ray visible, too big to swallow, and no bits easily chewed off. I knew antlers could be seen on x-ray, so I searched and searched. All the antlers I found were too small for a German Shepherd's big mouth, until I ran across this one. It was a hit. She loves it. Constantly carrying it around and gnawing on it when she's bored.The only downsides to this antler are that she drops it in the most inconvenient places. Doorways, stairwells, water bowls, esp the one the cats like to use. Also it's not human foot friendly. LOL I can't tell you how many times I've stepped on it and almost tripped, or had it dropped on my foot. Thankfully it's not as bad as stepping on a lego, but it didn't tickle either.When I get a friend for her, I'll buy a second one. I'm sure it will also have unfortunate meetings with my feet. LOL. But I don't need any fights over it.

So far she hasn't destroyed anything in the house and for a teething puppy that's almost miraculous! Shih Tzu teeth are very tiny so once her adult teeth come in I'll likely go to something a bit softer., but right now the vet says it's okay to use and she loves it.

I have a small maltese who was having a hard time chewing this until I broke a piece of by hitting it with a hammer. Threw the small piece away and only gave the rest of it to her when I can supervise her while she gnaws at it.. This product has lasted a long time. She usually powers through oral chew type items like this.
