This book will make you close your laptop!
Sometimes it's hard to know when to close the laptop, especially when you work from home. Being in the corporate world I have heard everything on work/life balance, but somehow the demands of the job never allow it to be a reality. This book lure's the minds eye just by sitting on the table, with its artistic beauty and quotes from people so busy, that none of our calendar excuses could hold a candle to. If they can find time to play, so can we.This is a leader's book that if they put into practice, their organization will be more apt to follow. By practicing play, it in turn leads to better job satisfaction and less attrition. We know WHAT to say when it comes to work/life balance, but do we actually DO it? Are we hurting our own personal and professional growth by not putting to practice more play? All I know, is I will read one page a day in this book, so as to never lose sight of life's objective.

Lovely and Inviting
A beautiful, thoughtful and quality book....in every way. The illustrations and design are beautifully rich, and the pages are sturdy, sumptuous and just beg to be touched and turned. Not to be missed for others, like me, who love quotes, inspiration, and aesthetically pleasing artwork. It beckons you to slow down and contemplate.

Play
Charlie's first book "Play it Away" convinced me to quit my job and start my own company. This one is just as awesome. We live south of Houston and it arrived just as Hurricane Harvey left. It reminded me to turn a stressful situation into one of joy and play. Ripping out furniture, sheet rock, and carpet became a game and enjoyable. Instead of an event of loss it became one of rebuilding, joy, and helping others find a moment of happiness.

I read this. My coworkers were proud.
'ticketa'....'ticketa'....'ticketa'....'ticketa'....There I was. The keyboard keys dropping like anchors, each stroke reverberating the sound of corporate drudgery as it sank my soul further and further into the depths of my cubicle. Each day another step into synergistic monotony. And yet hark! What light through yonder cubicle window broke? It was Charlie Hoehn. Floating down from the heavens on his gold-lined seraph wings, the plaid wunderkind with his TED Talks and rugged man chin gracefully alighted on the 1/4" stained carpeting, bringing tidings of joy and fulfillment from the world's colorful leaders to my tiny whiteboard-clad office-cabin.This book...was in his hands. After I read it, my soul, it lifted. To this day my coworkers are in disbelief.'You actually read a book?', they say through fits of laughter. And when I display to them the pages with original portrait artwork and short inspirational quotes, they knew I had.

An amazing - and beautiful - reminder about what's important in life.
This book is a huge asset for any creative must have for anyone who has lost the and enthusiasm they used to have for work (or, life). It's inspiring to see how many of the people I admire found success and happiness - and managed to see farther in life - through play. This is one of the few books that I leave laying around my apartment. It's a reminder to myself that life is meant to be enjoyed and play makes me more effective in... pretty much every area of my life. It's also an amazing conversation piece for the people I bring over. I've only had it for a week, but so far, two of my friends loved it so much that they bought copies too.

Success requires play
I bought two - one for my office and one for my living room, arguably where most of us spend the majority of our lives. It is a reminder to enjoy life outside of our screens and to consciously seek play and not take the day-to-day responsibilities of life so seriously.Play for a Living really is one of the most beautiful books ever bound and is an eclectic collection of quotes and artistry.

Wonderful Coffee Table Book
An incredibly beautiful book. I keep it posted in my office where I can see it, to remind me how important it is to take the time to play. I enjoy looking at the all the artwork associated with the quotes. I love the fact this book brought creative people who believe in doing work they love from all around the world and packaged in a wonderful book. The quotes are from some of the most influential people that embraced the play mentality. Don't forget what came so naturally to you when you were a kidMake the choice to play for a living, it will improve your life
