Brilliant!!! Loving this series so much!!!
I have received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.Ginger has done it again....another story in Falling series that made me cry. I had sad, devastated and happy tears. Lots of them. And it wasn't good when I tried sneakily read it at work. Not a good idea, people. We have met Paige at the beginning of the series. I didn't hate her, but I was not fond of her in the first part. Most of the time I wanted to slap her. HARD. In the second part, I wanted to do more damage than just slapping. But...by the end of Cass' Story I knew there is something more. There is HUMAN in her and not only a first class bitch. Because that's what she was. But in this story, seeing everything through her eyes, changed everything. I ached for her. Not because she didn't get what she wanted: popularity, status and a guy everyone will envy. I ached because she was sorry after everything she has done to Cass and everyone around her. I simply started to love her. And when she properly met and started being friends with Houston? I adored her. Going all pink for Leah made my heart soar and I cried. It was so beautiful and sweet.Houston *sigh*. He is almost as perfect as Nate. Simple guy, with not so simple life. Due to his past mistakes and tragedy, his life is not easy and between doing his college he works himself off in the deli shop. There he meets Paige. A blonde Bombshell, who will rock his world. But his life is too complicated for 18 year old girl, who just starts her life. But even though it seems everything is against them, he is prepared to risk everything and simply love Paige, for the person she is and not the created one. Houston is THAT guy that every girl wants: caring, kind, funny...I loved the part when he said to her:"But thing is, with anyone else, you'd just be their girlfriend, and with me.... you're kind of my world"And in here I was crying again...I can't believe that I have read the first book in the series as my 1st book in the New Year. And it's over. Kind of. As Ms. Scott is giving us a tiny bit of hope for another book *puppy dog eyes*. I can't say goodbye to all of them. I came to love all of the six people involved in the series.Thank you Ginger for creating such beautiful books <3Amazing 5 stars!

Brilliant series continues...
The Girl I was Before by Ginger Scott5* review by Nicole @ Nic’s Novel Idea‘Neither of us is moving. Why can’t I move? Why isn’t she moving? The longer I stand here and stare at her, the more impossible it feels to leave-to ever leave. This strong goddess who doesn’t need anyone to save her, but damn does she need someone to believe in her.’Houston Orr. Remember that name because he’s about to join the book boyfriend big leagues. What can I say about this beautiful, caring, sincere and sexy as sin man, except he is the personification of male perfection to me, beautiful and strong on the inside and out. Houston has a tough life, not so much tough as he has more concerns and obstacles in his way through college than any normal carefree or careless student usually would have at such a young age but rather than embitter or defeat him Houston’s character has the tenacity, work-ethic and humour of a man double his age. It’s in this setting and around these hurdles that Houston first meets our reluctant heroine Paige. Paige is a complex and very lonely girl, you might not think so if you came across her flaky, self-centred and mean-girl self in the previous two books of Ginger’s fabulous series but in The Girl I was Before Paige goes through the most remarkable but believable transformation. Ginger keeps Paige’s character true to the sorority girl desperate for popularity we initially met; there isn’t some miraculous epiphany moment and suddenly she turns over a new leaf. No, first of all Paige’s character faces her own inner struggles and demons, the problems of her own making and the incessant torture and cyber bullying orchestrated by others before Houston enters her chaotic life and suddenly she finds someone who believes in her, that likes her for who she really is which gives her that added confidence to believe in herself and make those positive changes.Together Houston and Paige are dynamic, the sexual tension, the friendship and soul connection these two seem to share sparkles off the page. For me this was the best book in the bunch. The steady and natural progression of the characters, the theme of bullying and the ramifications that our actions can often have as well as learning to love yourself, finding your inner strength and of course trusting yourself to fall in love with the one person that sees you. The Girl I was Before had a lot of elements in it that made it as epic as it was for me- redemption, love and the loyalty and strength you get from family. Immaculately written with impressive dialogue and a stunning love story that was obviously well thought out and executed with just a touch of magic. This is one that is going to have to be nestled on my special bookshelf, shining in all of its paperback glory. Magnificent book.

Humbling
3.5-4 stars - This is book 3 in the falling series , each bookBuilding on the last as you read , but focusing on different characters .This one is about Houston and Paige . Houston is a big hearted, dedicated , and hot nerd who has a lot on his plate ; while Paige is a try hard somewhat mean girl princess - who ultimately is very insecure and lost .I’ll be honest and say I struggled to connect with Houston at first , it took me a while. He is 21 with a huge load of responsibilities, he’s kind and a gentleman though so that was nice and the longer I read the more I liked who he was. His chemistry with life was slow building . But then she wasn’t always a nice person so I guess that makes sense .. she was hard to connect with as well as she doesn’t really know who she is herself . So her story is around her discovering that - who she is and where she fits .There were some nice romantic moments and some inspiring moments. The books and series is well written and all the characters are great individually and as a group !A nice easy read!

Perfect conclusion to the series
The Girl I Was Before is the third book in Ginger Scott’s Falling series, a New Adult Contemporary series composed of three interconnected standalones. While this book could be read on its own, I would highly recommend starting with the first two books. I remember meeting our sharp-tongued heroine in This is Falling and thinking how fascinating it would be to read her story. Paige’s book was the perfect conclusion to this series. In all honesty, it was my favorite. This story was full of heart and romance. It also highlighted the beauty of sacrifice and redemption.Paige Owens was not one of those heroines you will fall in love with right away. I think most people will find her to be a bit of an acquired taste, but I promise it will be worth the time you invest in getting to know her. Paige was a girl with a knack for saying exactly what was on her mind. There were certainly times when I wanted to shake some sense into her, but at the same time I was reminded that she was young and trying to find herself. Even when I didn’t agree with her decisions, I always felt she was a good person who cared about others. As much love as I have for the Preeter brothers, our heroes of books one and two in this series, Houston wiped the floor with both of them. From his very first scene with Paige when he gave her sage advice, he owned my heart. Houston is everything Paige could need or want: mature, hard-working, committed, and romantic. That man made my heart beat faster. Although there were certainly valid reasons for Houston and Paige to avoid starting a relationship, I was on the edge of my seat hoping and praying that they would be able to figure it out.The beauty of Paige and Houston’s relationship was two-fold. Not only was it a delicious slow burn, but I felt as if each of them truly embraced who the other person was, especially Houston. He wasn’t out to change Paige; he loved the person she already was. They lived completely different lives and yet somehow they fit together perfectly. Houston was able to see the strength Paige already possessed and help her find the girl was before, a girl she would be proud to be. Conversely, she gave him something he wasn’t sure he would ever have again.Scott did a fantastic job of showing Paige’s and Houston’s individual struggles in a realistic and sensitive way. I felt every ounce of their doubts and worries as well as their passion and love for each other. The last quarter of the book was quite emotional for me. I never would have thought that Paige of all people would make me cry. Scott never ceases to make me fall in love with her characters and sincere storytelling. This series is definitely one of my favorites in the New Adult genre and one I would recommend to anyone.*An advance copy of this book was received in exchange for an honest review.*

Perfect
Yay this was just as I was hoping. I wasn't sure how Paige's story was going to go sense you didn't get much of her, in the first two books and she seemed a little snotty and rude. Of course it turned out just right and was just as good as the first two, you really get to know Paige more and you see her struggles. You really start to understand why Paige does some of the things she does even if they aren't so nice. One thing I like is how Paige is trying to be a better person and working on being closer with her sister again like they once were. Paige isn't actually as bad as she seems, she actually does have a good heart to her. In the book you also get to meet Houston, a very hot, sweet and well raised guy. Houston, is the perfect guy respectful to girls and is every girls dream. His mama really raised him right lol. Putting him and Paige together brings out the best in Paige. I think it also helps her with being a nicer and better person. At first it does seem a little funny because Houston, isn't exactly the type Paige usually goes for. But as time goes on Paige starts to realize it's not all about how popular or sporty the person is. They can be just as good being an average kinda guy, and don't have to be major popular. Again just one of the things she learns when trying to be a nicer person. I think this series is very well written and I'm not even sure five stars is even enough for them. Now I can't wait to see what's next for Casey, Houston's best friend.

Redemption round
I wasn't sure Paige would make a good subject for an entire book as she has come across vain and kinda bitchy in previous books but she made a come back and I was pleasantly suprised to enjoy this book so much

Solid conclusion to the series
A solid conclusion to the Falling series.... I loved the whole idea of Paige getting her own book, b/c she's such an atypical heroine. It was nice to see her maintain a level of bitchiness and high maintenance, but still become 3 dimensional, if that makes any sense. I wanted her to remain somewhat authentic to what we'd learned about her in the previous 2 books, and Ms. Scott totally achieved that while also making me feel for her.Houston was an intriguing surprise. I didn't even remotely expect his backstory, so that added a whole hell of a lot to his character. He was a strange mix of characteristics -- a bit hot tempered (fighting with Carson) mixed with a sweet vulnerability (spurts of embarrassing honesty that reeled me right in).I wish I had more to say...I seem to be on a summer brain hiatus when it comes to reviews. So that's all I've got -- thoroughly enjoyed the story. Not as much as the Preeter boys, but still....
