Very versatile trail shoe. They look good and the fit is true to size. I LOVE the wide toe bed that does not pinch and allows your foot/toes to conform naturally to changing terrain.It holds your foot and ankle securely for no blisters.They have good support and excellent traction.The shoe build is very high-quality.Excellent deal for top-of-the-line trail running shoes.

I use these almost exclusively for hiking. They are very comfortable with no break in period. I usually have hot feet, but these seem to breathe very well and keep my feet cooler. I prefer light colors for shoes for this reason (not a fan of the crazy vibrant or dark colors on most Altras or other trail runners). The shoes dry relatively quickly, within 24 hours with the insoles removed in a dry climate. I used these to hike the Zion narrows for several miles up and down and they worked well for this purpose. I replaced the insole with a Dr Scholls planter fasciitis insole in order to increase the cushiness and support, which has seemed to work well without being too stiff. The soles are soft so you will feel irregular objects that you step on.These shoes could be better with the grip and durability of the outsole. The tread seems to wear down ~60% after 200 miles of hiking. My first pair has ~330 miles on them with a small amount of tread left. The tread is not very grippy, especially after 50% tread. The compound gets slippery if going from water/snow to rock. I wish these had vibram rubber or something grippy and more durable lugs. Also, be careful when slipping these on because the cushioning in the heel can become dislodged and bunched up under the fabric if you don't use your finger or a shoe horn to slide your heel into the shoe. Otherwise, these shoes are the most comfortable of all the hiking shoes that I have tried on. Hopefully Altra doesn't ruin these with unnecessary redesigns aside from the outsole which needs to be beefed up a little.

If you like to mountain hike, trail run, and rock scramble, and you have wide feet, the wide toe box feature of the Altra Lone Peaks make this shoe a good option. I purchased some Altra Lone Peak 6's about 9 months ago and unfortunately they have already worn out. The inseam (upper part) started to tear and the grips on the bottom of the shoe started to wear out. I liked the Lone Peak 6's for their wide fit and they were comfortable to a degree, but they did not have much support and were not durable. They gripped well on limestone rock and sandstone, but did slide around a bit on scree slopes as well on some of the rocky trails I go on. I already notice an upgrade with the Lone Peak 7 in comfort. they have a bit more padding. Also the grip and traction is clearly better, even on scree slopes I have noticed a clear improvement. The only thing I worry about with this shoe is long term durability. I'm not sure how Altra Lone peaks can improve on durability to make a more rugged shoe without giving up certain perks like the toe box width and overall flexibility of the shoe. I tried a pair of La Sportiva's as they appear to be highly regarded and more rugged, but their extra wide was not nearly wide enough in the toe box.

I wasn’t sure I would like a wide toe box, but it is the best! These shoes are very comfortable and I’m able to wear all day without fatigue! Fit is true to size and good traction for the trail.

The Altra Olympus shoes are very comfortable and get great traction the only thing I am a little disappointed in is the amount of dirt and pebbles that get in around the back of the shoe. I also love the wide toe box.

Son cómodos pero un poco amplios para mí, lo que me quita estabilidad. La calidad no corresponde al precio; nunca los uso en calle y la suela ya perdió toda la tracción, además las protecciones se están despegando y la suela se siente muy blanda para terrenos rocosos. Dicho esto, son súper cómodos para distancias largas en caminos fáciles

Love them I have 5 pairs of altras

Wide toe box for my duck feet + zero drop has me in heaven. Even though these shoes are trail runners, they're actually great every day shoes IMO. They are best suited to natural surfaces (grass, dirt trails etc) and I wouldn't run long distances on the pavement in them (but you can with no issue, they'll just wear fast)... but if you wear them as every day shoes you'll be fine. I prefer them in the city over most running shoes and they'll be the superior choice come winter.I have barefoot shoes for daily walking but rotate these in every now and then and also have a pair of Altra Torin 7's in wide which I bought for running but they feel a bit too much like walking on a pair of mattresses for every day use. These feel just right. The Lone Peaks are a classic for a reason.

Das sind meine ersten Trailrunning Schuhe, die ich allerdings auch im Alltag und zum Wandern nutze. Ich wollte die Barfuß-Features (Breite Zehenbox, Zero-Drop) und die habe ich hier bekommen. Trotzdem etwas Dämpfung. Ich kann die Schuhe empfehlen! Sehen cool aus und wirken robust.
