Does what I need it to do.

This fit my Bach Trombone just fine, and functioned as a mute correctly. I thought the unit was going to be made of brass or something, but it was just plastic, so the build quality is meh. The sides have rubber on them so that they can sit in the instrument nice and snug. Just don't drop it.

Pros - super lightweight with a great price. (IF it works for you)Cons - We found this to be sized oddly and it really did not fit the trombone properly. The seal it made was too tight (so too small) and it would not allow for easy playing of all notes. It was small enough we actually htought maybe I had misread the description and got a trumpet mute - but definitely not the case (it was too big for a trumpet)
