Easy, fresh and tasty!
I received my InBloom garden, end of Jan and I haven’t had to buy any salad greens from the store since. The garden itself is sturdy and attractive. Everything you need to set it up is in the box, follow enclosed instructions and *add your choice of seeds! The process is that simple. Now, just wait. Patience! It will grow quickly, though it doesn’t seem that way at the time. Pruning is important, so I tend to prune mine directly onto my salad plate. The lettuce is wonderfully tender and tasty. There is one added perk, the InBloom garden itself brings a bright, cheerful touch of freshness to your kitchen!Because I tend to overthink everything, I contacted the Customer Service Dept with a list of questions and both times the rep I got was knowledgeable and able to offer suggestions which were helpful to me. I’ve had only good experiences so far.Now I plan to expand a bit, adding cherry tomatoes and small peppers. I hope to have equal success!

Harvesting after only two weeks!!
So easy to grow a mini garden in your home or office! The photo is my kale and lettuce exactly two weeks after planting the seeds. The inBloom behind the front one is where I had to transplant my kale after harvesting which seemed to grow the fastest. The set-up was extremely easy. They are portable and can be put practically anywhere. Once turned on, the water pump and lights cycle itself so all you have to do is make sure the water doesn't go empty in the reservoir. It is literally fool proof for someone like me who forgets to water my plants on a daily basis. In fact, I love these mini hydroponic systems so much that I'm buying two more for my herbs as I write this!I suggest getting at least two of these inBloom hydroponic systems if you can to transplant any plants that seem to be growing at a faster rate and taking over the other plants. I tried to plant similar seeds that have the same germination rate, and height which will help with one overtaking another. I guess my kale had other plans.I had enough for salad yesterday and also today with the kale and as you can see, the other lettuce will need to be harvested. I'm amazed as the plants were only seeds two weeks ago. I bought the 12 pod inBloom hydroponic systems and planted the same seeds in three of the pods for each variety. I planted 4 varieties of lettuce/kale so they each have 3 pods to grow from which I find plenty for one to two people every other week. What I planted from left to right: Romaine lettuce, Grand Rapids Green Leaf Lettuce, Buttercrunch Lettuce and in the back black inBloom just recently transplanted and harvested is dwarf Siberian Kale which is perfect for mini hydroponic systems! The lights will be bright and light up an entire room so I have mine in their own room and behind a make-shift screen of cardboard which helps quite a bit when they are on at night.I do suggest getting the 12 pod system. You won't regret it!

Retracting my original review
I'm retracting my original review of this product. This garden really does work well. I found that you don't use the lights until the seeds sprout, just like the instructions suggest. Then turn the lights on once seeds sprout and let it continue on with the cycle. They suggest using bottled spring water, but I've been using my well water and it work's just fine. The only thing I don't like is the drain feature at the bottom of the base. It leaked on my counter and left a big water stain so I now have it sitting on a tray. I mainly grow lettuce, any variety, and have also tried parsley, at the same time and it worked very well.

Easy Gardening, Beginner Friendly
I have never gardened before and since we live on the 2nd story of an apartment building it does make it a bit complicated. I really wanted fresh herbs to use during the summer and decided to take the plunge and try this machine during the spring sale. This machine makes gardening super easy, I had purchased NatureZ seeds on Amazon, as I read a review that someone had those and had 100% success rate with this machine and those seeds. Sadly not all my seeds germinated, I had 9/12 which survived but I would still consider that great for myself, a beginner. The grow light works very well, I had sweet peas growing rapidly and other beginner seeds next to the machine to take advantage of the light. My only reason I took a star down was the stickers don’t seem to work or prevent mold, I had a few stickers on some and others without. There was no difference that I noticed and even the sticker locations started to have a little mold on the sponges underneath, although looking at reviews at hydroponic systems this is a common issue amongst them all. Also the details show support sticks, I never received any and had to purchase my own. Overall really happy with this machine, I wish I saw more reviews with people growing flowers. I am tempted to buy another! My plants are like a jungle (especially the dill and cilantro), it’s only been one month of owning.

Easy set-up
Easy to set this up. More tedious was the measuring and mixing of plant food, pod soaking, and separating of seeds to insert into pods and baskets, as well as labelling the pods.Even with the provided tweezers, it is very hard to pick up only 3-6 seeds for some herbs and flowers, let alone try to soak the seeds before planting (didn't even try). Good news is, after only one week, half of my twelve pods have sprouted!Since the grow light is very bright and on an automatic cycle of 16 hrs on, 8 hrs off, be sure to put this in a place where the light won't disrupt your sleep! I draped a light cloth over 3 sides of mine to soften the light. Will remove it as plants get larger.
