Wore this recently for 6 hours during motorcycle training, from 9am till 3pm over my jacket. It kept me and dry not one leak. It has a waterproof seal over the zip and Velcro fastening for the collar. Thee are no pockets on the outside or inside. Used up to 70mph on a dual carrageway during persistent rain and I was warm and dry at all times. I bought medium size same as my jacket underneath and it fitted perfectly. Good bit of kit packs up small complete with it's own bag. A must have bit of kit, at very reasonable price.
