The edge was also not sharp or close, I ran my thumb over it and could put a good amount of force on it and not even scratch my skin, it did come with a full mirror polish but I would rather have a fine edge than a mirror polish, I don’t find these to be huge issues because I tested the axe on a dead standing fraizer fur about 8 inches diameter and got half way through in 10 swings as for 20 inch handle and 1 3/4 pound head is very good, also if I feel the need to change the bevel grind or sharpen it I can do that fairly quickly and angle it how I see fit.The positives outweighs those negatives by a long shot, the shape of the head is dead straight which I have an axe that is not and that has caused problems for me in the past.the handle is very comfortable in the hand, with a nice palm swell and the straightest grain Orientation I will ever see In A handle probably ever again. also comes pre oiled Which is a bonus, the fit of the head is near flawless with even squeeze out of the wood on the bottom of the eye, with only one mm thick gap. the top is a flawless fit with a nice round steel wedge to seat it nicely, the sheath is a robust working mans sheath. nothing fancy but will last as long as it’s taken care of in my opinion. cut deep on my testing of it and bit surprisingly well on controlled shallow chops when choked up planing down a log even though the axe was dull. The Duluth pack loop is neither a positive or negative I would say. Nothing special, but I would say pay the 10 dollars for the loop cause you might find a use for it if you don’t prefer carrying the axe on your hip. I like it thought and it’s not made cheaply. The leather cuts and stitching are not perfect but it’s not a huge price for it either. If I had to sum it up I would say it’s strong but sloppy.Overall I would recommend it, think it’s a great purchase if you need an axe to companion a chainsaw for chopping through branches and stripping bark, or if you want to take down small trees by hand and or need a good pack/camp axe for your hiking adventures.

Hults bruk craftsmanship is superb! Really like the weight and feel, well balanced. The reason for the one star review is I did not receive the duluth axe holder. I reached out to the distributor with no reply.

I wasn't completely sure what I was going to get but this is a neat axe.The handle is typical wood but the axe head is indeed forged!The blade is SHARP!I can't hardly get my knifes as sharp is this blade. I actually shaved some hair off my arm to see if it was sharp enough to shave with!It's a impressive axe and beautiful craftsmanship!Axe came with a treated leather sleeve and belt holster that you can tell has recently been treated with leather treatment!There is no fake crap with this axe!

I love the axe however the add says "bundle with axe holder" and did not come with anything other then the axe. Since the add misrepresented the shipped product and I have not gotten a response from the seller they are getting 1 star.

Husband wanted it for his birthday, was a little pricey but he loved it!
