Works great for my situation
With this antenna, I pick up 46 different over-the-air channels, from 3 different TV broadcast antenna locations that are located 9-14 miles north and south of me (per the Channel Master website's antenna map). This is good enough for my needs. This antenna is mounted outside under the center of the roof in our gazebo, around 8' up from the ground and connected to a tv in the gazebo. I have a hill and large trees to the north of me and my house blocks the south, but I still get a perfectly clear picture on all channels with no loss of signal or pixelation - not like I used to get with my old unidirectional antenna - and I don't have to rotate or move this new antenna around to face north or south for the different channels anymore. I can't vouch for the claimed "65 mile range", but there is a tv station broadcast antenna 47 miles away from me, and this antenna doesn't pick it up (probably because of my location behind a hill and the relatively low height I have the antenna mounted at). But, I'm very happy with it and the 46 channels I get.

A Good Small Aesthetic Omni Directional Powered Antenna
This is the second Antop unit I have installed and both have had impressive results. Reception expectations were different due to the installation and receiving conditions at each locale. Although both actual antennas with their power inserters have identical model numbers, the box numbers were different kits and contained unalike components (wire, clamps, screws, etc), which should not affect performance. The first installation was on the southeastern shore side of the San Francisco Bay area. This used the antenna externally, in open air, and was top mounted on a PVC electrical conduit about fifteen feet above ground level. There are no obstructions by any close surrounding objects like hills, buildings, or trees. This antenna system pulls in 105 working channels (includes sub channels) that are reliably watchable (without interruption) at four out of five signal strength bars or above (80 out of 100 on a numeric meter). The second installation is house attic mounted in a western suburb of Detroit, Michigan. This one is a slightly obstructed install due to a shingle and plywood roof. However, It reliably receives 46 channels that are all watchable at four signal strength bars or above. This installation was not expected to perform as well as the unobstructed first one above even though the ground height was similar. This is also partly due to fewer overlapping transmitter areas as seen in the upper and lower S.F. Bay area. This antenna was selected for its small size and because it has an omni directional (360 degree) reception pattern. In both installs, many of the desired TV transmitters are located in opposite receiving directions. In Michigan, the omni Antop amplified model replaced a larger high gain directional UHF corner reflector antenna used with a 20 db signal booster. No channels were lost in the replacement and strong new channels are now being received from the opposite direction, which was a desired result. While some old channels reduced signal reception slightly, others increased over the previous focused antenna. This general purpose antenna should provide access to many OTA channels for the majority of users. Its 65 mile reception rating will depend on the installation and surrounding environment, but suburban installations like the ones above will outperform any indoor type of antenna. The major networks - CBS, NBC, ABC, Fox, etc. - usually have higher power transmitters approaching the 1 megawatt range in most larger metropolitan areas. Those stations are usually received without much problem at the antenna's maximum range .This antenna provides reliable and usable signals from stations up to 35 miles away even from stations of lower power. This assumes that the transmitter to antenna is not obstructed by obstacles such as hills or large obstacles. There are 30 mile distant stations being received reliably on these two systems of only 20 Kilowatt transmitted output.Note though that those weaker transmitted signals at long distances are more apt to be disrupted by momentary disturbances (reflections) like an occasional low flying plane. It would not be uncommon to see a one second picture disruption about every fifteen minutes or so. Flight patterns and time-of-day will increase/decrease these problems. This may or may not be a problem based on the situation and locale where being used. For those really distant low power stations that are considered a "must have" or "favorite", a higher directional gain and greater mile rating antenna may be worth considering. A directional antenna will tend to reject a side momentary reflection due it not being in its focused field of view. Conclusion: This antenna is a very nice small aesthetic looking package with excellent receiving VHF/UHF capabilities. Unless a directional antenna is absolutely required, the 360 degree reception will make it an easier install. The antenna is positioned at a good price point but will require some work getting it installed in an attic or mounted externally to realize its intended full capabilities.

Improved reception
I had an outdoor antenna that received most of the stations in the area but not all came in without dropouts. I wanted to replace my antenna with something better. I initially installed the Antop antenna where my old antenna was. I was initially disappointed as it only picked up a couple of channels. Reading the installation instructions it said if there were any splitters that the antenna may not work. I don't know if there are any so I decided to connect the new antenna directly to the TV. Even though the new antenna was now indoors the reception was better than my old outdoor antenna. Most of the channels came in clear, an improvement over my old antenna. I plan to mount my new antenna outside were my old one is and run a new cable directly without splitters to my TV.. I will update this review if improves my reception even more.

lot of interference
I had a Lava Omnipro HD 8008 omni directional HDTD Antenna before this one. We had a lot of interference when cars go by our house. So I thought I would try this one. Still getting the interference when cars go by, so its no better than the old antenna. Still receive the same number of channels. The old antenna included the mounting pole. The diameter of the mounting pole is too small to mount this antenna. I had to find another piece of pipe to go over the mounting pole and bolt it to the mounting pole and then attach the antenna to it.

terrible reception - much worse than the older one
Replaced our older Antop Omni that was damaged in high winds. We used to get 56 channels - same location this one picks up a measly 8. Waste of money. I'll look for what will be an adequate replacement

Works great
My mom bought one and so did I. I installed both of them and set them up we get 29 free HD channels. Best antenna on the market.

Easy install, Great reception
I decided to buy this Antenna to replace the old one that fell in a storm. Total upgrade! the setup and installation instructions were easy to follow.Minimal assembly required.I aimed it in the direction of the the transmitter which is 50 miles away, plugged it into the back of the TV and did a rescan. I found 86 Channels!!It picks up all the free-view channels.Going this route save me quite a bit of money rather than hiring someone to replace the aerial. All in all very pleased with this Antenna!

Has great reception
We receive great reception from the local broadcast channels all of which are ten miles or less away. The poll attachment was a great option to have and worked from the deck railing.
