Highly Recommend - MADV Mini 360
The media could not be loaded. I was looking for a 360 camera and didn't want to pay $300 or $400 and found this item. I liked the idea of it plugging directly in to my phone so there is no file transfers to make AND no extra batteries to have to worry about in a 2nd device.Okay. In my video here's the unboxing of the MADV Mini 360 camera, 13 megapixel. Supposedly it plugs right into the USB. We'll get to review a little bit. Currently it's on sale for $98.99 and a 30% discount. So it's a pretty great deal. Hopefully works. Let's get to gun boxing here. It comes in a pretty good, decent packagingAlright. First thing out of the box here, it's a rubberized protector cover and the instructions. It's packaged pretty well. The instructions say that if it has an app that will work with it, it automatically will work or you can download their MADV Mini 360 app from the Google play store. So we'll try and see what happens when I plug it in. When I plugged it in to my Samsung Note 10+ it did not 'recognize' it automatically so I downloaded the app. After downloading and installing the app, it does ask for some extra permissions. I'm not crazy about like contacts, not sure why it would need access to contacts or maybe there's a sharing feature. And then of course your access to video and audio files, that's fine. And then a couple use agreements that you have to sign. Hopefully, we're not sending our life away, let's go ahead and take a look here and see what happens when I plug it in.It takes a second and it asks if you want to open the app, let me go ahead and say, okay. It begins to automatically update the firmware which was nice, although it did take quite a while, probably a few minutes.I realized later that it has a front and back to it, and it's not easy to see as the wording is very subtle so I used a sharpie marker to mark the front side of the USB-C plug to make it easier to know which side is the front. There are several options inside the app; camera, video, time-lapse video, live video and start and stop video feature. All are easy to use and very functional. There are also several filters and a few image settings including EV (exposure value) the one I couldn't remember in the video! and WB (white balance) as well as some basic filters. If anything should change I'll come back and update the review, but for now it's exactly what I was looking for and very happy with the purchase. Now I just need to get a good selfie-stick with a clam shell holder for my phone!UPDATE: 08/13/20 still working great!

Small and Portable! Great for social media posting!
This a really fun toy to have! 360 photos and videos add a lot of new perspective when you want to share your adventures with friends!Definitely only made for social media posts. The resolution isn't the highest, but for under $100 it's pretty decent. You'll need to download a 3rd party app to export any tiny world videos, but it's not that big a deal.Love this because it's portable and you don't have to carry a whole other device.

DO NOT PURCHASE
This camera was great, until the app stopped working about two months ago.You cannot start the app which means you cannot use the camera. Currently, this device is worthless.DO NOT PURCHASE UNTIL APP IS UPDATED!!!

Some flaws could be deal-breakers for some
As other reviews have noted, you have to use the Madv-Mini app to use this product, so your enjoyment (or lack thereof) will be closely tied to the app. If it doesn't work on your phone, the product is worthless. The app works on my phone. My biggest complaint: the app requests permission to access your Contacts, and will NOT function unless you grant it permission. There's no reason a photo app needs access to Contacts to take pictures. I'd understand the Share ability being disabled without Contacts, but the app shouldn't refuse to open without the permission. I'm sure my trying out the camera sent my friends' phone numbers and email addresses to a hundred different lists by now.Beyond the invasion of privacy, be aware you may need an extender for the USB-C if you have a case on your phone. Without sufficient space by the connector, the camera won't fit. The extender wasn't expensive (about $6), but be aware you may not be able to use it out of the box without removing your case.As for the camera itself, the picture detail is fine for the price. You're not going to take pro-level photos and videos with this, but for a cheap and easy-to-carry entry into VR photography, it gets the job done.

Not as advertised
Small camera. Good picture. Impressed with the quality. I can not live stream to YouTube , which was the original reason for getting the camera. I can not share pictures that are stored on my phone's sd either. Mediocre performance. Incomplete features. Good picture quality.

Nice compact 360 camera
I like that it's very compact and portable and takes Awsome 360 photos that automatically seems together. The only downside is I wished there was an option to not have yourself in every photo. I so it's more like a personal 360 blog camera more than a 360 view camera.

Little but powerful.
I really like this 360 camera so I gave it 5 Stars.

VERY compact and surprisingly good pictures (but not the videos)
Extremely compact and works just fine with the app on my S9+. Image quality is great, but the videos could be better (tuned).
