Rabbits Love This Alfalfa! The quality is impressive!
My two 3-month old Lionhead rabbits DEVOUR this alfalfa. It is SO green compared to the compressed bale alfalfa I was feeding them from the local farm supply store. Yes, it's more expensive, but aren't they worth it? Good nutrition is important for our pets, especially growing rabbits who haven't reached adulthood yet. Alfalfa is such an important part and large percentage of a young rabbit's diet, it's good to know I'm feeding them fresh, green, quality alfalfa vs. cheap, dried, brown, stale alfalfa. Shout out to Tyler at Small Pet Select who, according to the note written and placed on top of the alfalfa, "packed it with extra love"!

Baby bunnies love this hay !
Our boujie baby bunnies have been picky since the start about what brand hay they liked. We tried various ones including oxbow, dunmor, etc. This by far is their favorite! Very little is left when they eat, it is always fresh and great nutrition for them. Highly recommended !

Good Quality, little dust
I bought this because my baby buns needed more, and the last brand had a lot of dust and not enough stalk/stem. I'm very pleased with this, it's still pretty green, and a nice amount of green to stalk ratio. My rabbits seem happy with it as well. Will purchase again because the price per pound is better than most around and the quality is pretty decent. Would buy again.

Hit or miss! Not worth the hassle!
Second update: It’s hit or miss with ordering this. One box is good the next not good. Save yourself some time and hassle and just order from Small Pet Select directly or find another brand of hay. Just not worth it!Update: ordered a second box and it was horrible. It looked like a bunch of dead twigs and dead crumbled leaves. Not taking the chance of ordered again. Very disappointedFirst order:Smelled very fresh! My bunny loved it! Would definitely order again.

A little smelly but a lot of hay
The media could not be loaded. They could have shaked out the hay before packaging, quite a bit of dirt. I ordered bc it was a good price I assumed it would be small but it’s a big box .

Sun's Up! Bunz's up!
I have a very picky rabbit who, in his own way, makes it clear as to the hay he LOVES or hates. Through trial and error (3 years and a LOT of expense) I finally found his FAVORITE!!Small Pet Select's Orchard Hay and Alfalfa Hay are always fresh, lush, fragrant, green, and obviously delicious. They always send boxes filled to capacity (my most recent Orchard Hay box was actually bulging!) and I see little to no dust. As I fill his feeding areas, my rabbit begins snacking on it straight from the box and binkies with excitement. Nothing but praise for Small Pet Select.Bunz thanks S.P.S. too! 🐰Seriously - Bunz makes it very clear that this brand is the ONLY brand he'll eat. He's extremely particular and picky about his hays and food.

Top quality, perfect stem to leaf ratio, and always consistent!
I've purchased alfalfa hay from many different vendors on Amazon over the last year and the hay from this company is by far the best of the lot. Not only is the hay fresh, green, and the perfect ratio of stem to leaf (with the leaf still attached to the stem!), it is also low dust and not overly compressed. Every box of hay has been the same excellent quality and I've experienced no problems what so ever.

Not as fresh as our local feed store
We just picked up our two dwarf baby bunnies one month ago. Our bunnies are now 3 months old. I purchased this product before we picked up the bunnies. It lasted about 2-3 weeks. I do not use it as litter, just as food in their hay box. I have decided not to purchase this product again. I live in an area where alfalfa hay and other grass hays are readily abundant and fresh. I purchased this product because I was not sure how much hay my bunnies would go through. After the Small Pet Select Alfalfa Hay was just about finished, I purchased a compact bale of alfalfa hay from my local feed store. This bale fit inside of an extra large cotton canvas laundry bag which I store in the garage. It does not take up much space. This hay is much greener and has a nice fresh smell compared to the hay I purchased from Small Pet Select. Since I have so much of it now, I can share it with our two chickens. They love it.All in all, I will be purchasing our bunnies hay from now on at the feed store. It is fresher and way less expensive when compared to the Small Pet Select brand. However, if you do not have local access to a feed store, then this product may be for you. At least the shipping was fast.

Great quality, and easy to access!
My rabbit absolutely loves eating this hay! It definitely comes much more fresh than any of the past places I've bought hay from, so I can vouch for the quality here. He chooses it over any other hay that I feed him

Excellent value
Best value for money Alfalfa I’ve found. A little dusty but made up for by it all being a healthy green. Currently being used for baby rabbits and guinea pigs as it’s in higher protein and calcium than what’s available from Timothy hay. Although not a requirement, the hay has been thoroughly enjoyed and we’ll continue to purchase for as long as it’s beneficial to the little ones. It arrives loose in a big box (great as it means no dealing with compressed bales in plastic wrapping) but this can make it messy to deal with, so we fill a large 40L plastic pet food container and pull from that instead.

Brilliant For Helping My Grieving Elderly Rabbit's Appetite
My elderly rabbit, Jackson, was grieving the loss of his companion, and my vet suggested I try adding a little Alfalfa to his regular Timothy hay to boost his appetite, so I ordered this 0.91kg box of Alfalfa Hay from Small Pet Select for him to try. It arrived the next day, it looks just like the photo and I got a lot more than I was expecting which was great. Jackson ate it immediately and within a week was back to eating his normal amount of Timothy hay. I highly recommend it.
