This lemon tree is cheap for a reason - but actually good value
Ignore the pot in the picture - I potted it up on delivery. It comes in a much smaller (5L) plastic pot. This tree is half the price of others but that’s for a reason. Treat it as a rescue tree. It came with half the compost out of the pot and the roots did not look like they grew in the pot it came in. They were also spiralled a bit - I’m no citrus expert but I don’t think they were right. The compost was completely dry and mostly fell away from the roots as I lifted it out. I spent some time rearranging and opening out the roots before repotting it as you see. That was a week ago and the leaves are still fine - it probably helps that this is winter. You will need another 15L of citrus compost and a much bigger pot to pot it on immediately on delivery. When it arrived it was covered with what I thought was powdery mildew and I sprayed it immediately (another benefit of a winter delivery) - however, I now think that it was just that it had been misted with very hard water and I would advise others to just dust the leaves and mist with soft water for a while before concluding it is mildew. If you’re buying after it has budded you won’t be able to spray anyway. I gave this a 5* review because I do believe it is very good value if you know anything about looking after plants and can rescue the tree. I’ll update this review in the spring when it shows signs of new growth. One final point is that it did come with an EU plant passport - this is a genuine, legal import. 2024 Edit: I have posted a new photo from Spring. Lovely of gorgeous blossom appearing: it smells wonderful.

Good
Lovely tree, so time will tell it came well packaged and the soil was still damp, down part was there no labels no guild, I think having a guild with basic instructions would be a good idea .

More info for a novice would be good
This seems good value but it’s our first dabble into citrus. Parcel arrived 3 days early - great. Leaves on tree look fresh enough but soil was pretty dry & half of it in the box. Have followed advice of other buyers & repotted it & also bought citrus feed so hoping for the best!

Amazing plant
I am really amazed at this plant it was large ,very healthy. I bought this for my daughter and was very surprised at it. Plus it has instructions on how to look after it. I have looked at nursery’s and garden centres and prices were much higher than this. As you can see I was well delighted with it

No tag or care instructions
Lovely size tree but the box was damaged and one of the branches was broken. There was alot of the soil in the box. There isn't a label or care instructions which would have been nice as its a present.
