I am taking tocotrienols for general anti-inflammatory purposes and I appreciate this affordable access to them. As you are looking at this product, you probably know that tocotrienols are different than and complementary to the usual tocopherols in standard Vit E. A friend of mine is a scientist who researched tocotrienols for reducing inflammation in diseases and the results sounded impressive. My friend said it wouldn't hurt for a reasonably healthy person to take them (not overdoing it). I'm not expecting any wildly remarkable results. I just feel that there are various things in my diet that could be mildly inflammatory, plus I have diagnosed IBS. I've cut out gluten completely but I still eat some sugar and I may have other mild food sensitivities (it's hard to figure out). Maybe this helps to counteract some inflammatory "burdens" that I put on my system.

I love that these softgels are small and I have no problem swallowing them. I cannot swallow medium or big pills anymore. Good product! I wish all manufacturers would make smaller softgels or pills. thank you.

With this order all the pills were stuck together and so I don't know if that's an indication of heat or what but I had to pry each one off of the other one

Great product but but expensive

As with many others who have commented, I did a great deal of research before selecting this product to replace the off the shelf vitamin E I had been taking. I am 74 years old and have suffered from an autoimmune illness since childhood. My family has a genetic anomaly, inherited from both parents, and do not go gray until late in life. My eldest son, in his early 50's, has no gray hairs, and my sister who is four years older has very few gray hairs and her hair is as glossy and dark as when she was 40. I had begun to go gray in the last few years as time waits for no man I have been taking this form of vitamin E for several months and my hair, with the exception of a small fringe in the front of white, has begun reverting to his original dark color. At first I thought it was my imagination but several friends have remarked on it and it is now unmistaken. Adding this vitamin is the only change I have made. Something to think about.

With so many different vitamins on the market, some going in and out of popularity over the years, I did a TON of research before deciding not just which ones to take but also how much of each would be optimal. After reading through probably a hundred different studies and medical school research results, I finally landed on no more than 400IU of Vitamin E. As with many vitamins, people tend to overload on this one, but the studies I read overwhelmingly showed no benefit at all to the higher doses, and in some cases even some bad results with higher doses. And once again, it was hard as hell to find one that didn't overly exceed the recommended daily intake. Fortunately, I eventually discovered this one from Doctor's Best, and that's when I remembered that this brand was the same one I often come across when searching for correct dosage of other supplements like CoQ-10. Not subjecting myself to a million tests, and certainly not being a doctor, it's impossible for me to say I've had any of my own observations as to the effectiveness and benefits of this little pill. But I can say that the ingredients and dosage meet exactly what all the studies recommend, and the Doctor's Best brand has served me well for years. So if you're looking for a truly beneficial Vitamin E supplement, this is the one I'd recommend.

To whoever is listening, something is going on with this product. I may have to personally write Doctor's Best and ask them to study it, or to see if there are studies that say anything about it. My husband and I are taking this, then we're taking another brand of Astaxanthin. Well, I won't say the brand. Anyway, our hair is slowly going back to our brown-colored hair. We have also taken another form of tocos before, and I personally did have some new hair growth. However, now my hair is gaining color back since taking these. Will I get it all back? I doubt it, but getting more is interesting. My hair is pretty much gray. I am not imagining it either. My husband has started getting some color back as well since taking this brand of tocotrienols, as well as the Astaxanthin. We are also taking vitamin K2, then other things, the Magtein. So maybe it's a combination of the above. Well, we're taking other things, but this only started since taking the above new things. I am convinced there is some combination that is causing this, and I can't help but think of the tocos and the Astaxanthin. It could also be the Magtein. So just wanted to say, I'm sticking with this brand of tocotrienols. Even if it is a combined thing, I'm sticking with what we're doing now. I know Doctor's Best has great products. I wish they could study combos and see what is going on. One thing must be complementing another, I guess. One more thing that I wanted to add, we're taking this for our health. So I didn't really expect results except to gain more health. We were not taking it for our hair.

I showed it to my doctor and he said he doesn’t recommend taking this. I didn’t ask the reason. I’m a little skeptical because I didn’t notice any improvement to my health.
