Vietnamese Coffee
I use to drink Vietnamese coffee when I was stationed in Vietnam from 69-73 and I learned to love it. I saw this coffee and had to have it. I tried it and I really, really like it. Excellent flavor.

My favorite coffee
I love this coffee. I have just ordered my 6th bag. Since the first try I knew it was my new go to brand. It's great for making Vietnamese iced coffee and also regular drip coffee. It's always fresh packed consistent flavor from bag to bag. I would definitely recommend this coffee.

Not a bad coffee, lack of "fruitiness"
Brewed this in a Aeropress, ground Turkish mokka (extremely fine), allowed to steep 4 minutes, 30 second press.. Not very flavorful, not overly strong. I could not pick up any fruit notes, chocolate, or smokiness (could be my taste buds). It was, however, pretty smooth, without a lot of fullness. The mouth feel was fairly nice, as well.

The beans arrived in perfect condition! Couldn't be happier with the new packaging
Just got the Chestbrew Moon Bear coffee beans today! I was so excited to see the Amazon box waiting for me. The beans arrived in perfect condition!Couldn't be happier with the new packaging! To be honest, I was thinking of purchasing this a few months ago but the reviews of how the beans exploded in the box made me hesitate until now. I love the look of the bag and especially the brewing instructions on how to brew for hot, cold, and iced. From the moment I opened the bag, I could tell the beans were perfect. From the wonderfully sweet fragrant aroma of the coffee beans to the rich chocolate color of the glistening beans. Even though it was already so late in the day to have coffee, I just couldn't wait to try it. I quickly grounded some beans, boiled some water, and took out the cafe phin (bought especially for these beans). And as expected, it was delicious. Sweet, smooth, and surprisingly not acidic at all. I can't wait to make a cold brew with these beans.Thank you Chestbrew for providing quality beans. And for giving back to the people who take such care in making the beans so great! Your product, your vision, and your commitment to the people behind the product will be something I will support! If you like coffee, you HAVE to try these beans. If you don't like coffee, these beans will change your mind.

I Was Very Surprised By This Coffee
I'm a fan of the YouTube Channel ADVChina and the Laowhy86, and Serpentza channels, by the same two guys. They began Vloging from the PRC and now make videos of travels in other countries including Vietnam. While watching one of their videos they answered a the question of "What is the best coffee you've ever had?" with, "Moon Bear Coffee in Vietnam, you can buy it on Amazon". So I did, not having the greatest of expectations because I've tried coffee from all over the world and especially South/Central American varieties. I was pleasantly surprised that this coffee is indeed very good. I'm not sure I'm ready to say it's the best I've ever had but it is close to it.I'm not a fan of the burnt bean taste so I wasn't really after the "Strong Dark Roast" flavor promised on the bag. I did not find it that way at all, if anything, it looked a bit weak when I brewed it and tasted smooth, as the other descriptor on the label indicated. This may in part be because I ground it coarse this first time. I may try to grind it a bit more next time.

It was Okay
I absolutely love dark roast coffee. I find it difficult to find dark roast coffee readily available in my area so I decided to give this coffee a try based on the description and reviews.First off, I mostly drink my coffee hot. I like to brew my coffee in a French press. To me, this is one of the best ways to really taste the flavors in a coffee. I added about a half a scoop more coffee than it recommends for a French press because I like my coffee strong. However, I was not impressed with the end result. I will say this coffee is very smooth tasting, but there just isn't a whole lot of flavor there. To me, it was just a smooth, bland coffee. If that's your thing, then this coffee is for you. However, I like mine flavorful and robust and I just didn't see that out of this coffee.I will finish the remainder of this coffee but I don't see myself buying it again.

Good robust coffee...
This has great flavor and is strong coffee. I have tried coffees from around the world and I have yet to find coffee from another country to rival Vietnamese coffee. That being said, I have yet to try a Vietnamese coffee I didn't like!

Very smooth coffee and nice to see the story of the co-founders :)
I had just bought a couple more well-known coffees on amazon and was looking for another Dark Coffee with good reviews. I came upon this one, which I will admit I was more intrigued by the adorable couple who are co-founders and their story and about Vietnamese coffee.I got it within 2 days and always have items shipped to my work so everyone was wondering what I got this time. I passed around the bag at work and my boss wanted to try some (i had to wait to grind it at home later that evening).I got home and ground up a batch for myself to use the next morning as well as some for my boss. I was trying to impress him so I ground up the coffee really fine and saved some for myself. Next morning I used my usual scoops but found I used way to much and was a little bitter. I told my boss what happened as I gave it to him but he told me if you do the ground real fine you would need less. I did not know that so the next day I tried again and this time it was PERFECT! My boss came in the next day and told me he really liked the coffee as well. My boyfriend also tried it and agreed and he's not much of a coffee drinker.
