First time buying whole cloves. These seemed liked a good price and appear fresh. Everyone is clove crazy and local stores were out. I take 3 cups of water in a glass bottle with lid, add about a dozen cloves. The next day I pour 1/2 cup in a glass and add 1/2 cup of water and drink. When empty I start over with fresh cloves. So I basically make a concentrate. Works out great. Haven’t tried to eat one yet and that’s supposed to be good for you also.

For those who find the smell too "fishy", I can understand what they mean as it presents with a slightly bio-organic earthy aroma. I have very sensitive taste and smell. I just finished a 100-count bag of organic pu-erh tea that I liked but they don't sell it in that form any more, alas. So I decided to give Prince of Peace a try even though some complained about the horrible smell/taste. Honestly, for me it's more "present" than the previous brand. But I find it delightful to the taste, and I am making it daily now with two bags that steep for 4-5 minutes, then pour it over a 20oz tumbler filled with ice cubes. I add nutpods which is a yummy and healthy veggie creamer with no toxins or preservatives in it. Add honey or stevia clear liquid. And I'm all set. Flavorful and tasty but not overpoweringly strong by any means. I guess some people are even more sensitive than I but I'd give it a try. It's from the best place, promises to be made from whole leaves, not floor sweepings, and tastes really good. It's organic too. And the company gives a portion of its profits to an orphanage so that doesn't hurt either.

Great cloves for pomanders or simmer pots.

Worth the purchase, good taste, Love its organic, its potent(strong but right caliber & quality) as it should be, beautiful color depending on how long you let it sit after boiling (longer the better), bag last long if you dont use them daily. The BAG Keeps them fresh and have not had issues with ingesting the tea. Works great for my 90 yr old Grandfather who loves HOT tea in the AM & my 7 year old who Loves drinking tea whenever. He actually asks me for it if he hasn't had it in a while. Down to my last tea pot from the bag now. Getting more soon as they stock BACK UP!!!! Get my drift???!! LOVE CLOVE TEA!!!! Im in my 40s. It Does a Body REAL GOOD 😉!!!!

fabulous .. So fresh to open bag. Perfectly shape, dry, oily ( flavor/smell ). Remove what you need to ALT container ,, The seal package w/ least air and they will be freshest forever. You will be sad if you don't seal well in a year. Grind disperses flavor better But degrade faster. Think 3 clove gets 10x flavor transferred. It's a lot of cloves. It's one of the just a pinch flavors you can't identify in amazing sause, soup. tomato paste, caayan, mushroom, fennel, mustard, vinigar If I didn't love clove so much, I'd get a couple people to bring me their container .. mix in or Thow garbage away.. SAD this company doesn't have more spices

I bought these for making cider beetles. The brand I bought last year were very good but there was still a lot of wastage as some of the cloves were in bits. I tried to buy them again this year, but bought these instead. From the handful I tipped out, there were no broken ones at all - and the scent was wonderful.
