works great!
We initially bought another, similar personal weather station (PWS) on Amazon made by another brand. Unfortunately, a neighbor across the street has a PWS operating on the same frequency, so the indoor station was picking up theirs and not ours. Not great, because their PWS is in a bad spot where it's sheltered from the wind, thus measuring no wind ever. So, back it went, and I went on the hunt for a PWS that used a different frequency... which is how I found this Vevor one. It came with "some assembly required" which was pretty easy to do. Got it setup and paired pretty quickly, and everything seemed accurate. However, it was not measuring rainfall. Even when we poured water in it, it measured zero precipitation. I manually rocked the see-saw back and forth a bunch, and nothing registered. I opened a support case with Vevor, who responded quickly that they wanted pictures and/or a video of the inside of the rain gauge component. My assumption was that they were wanting to see if we had removed a piece of tape that was inside there (the instructions didn't mention it, but we removed the tape since it was clearly necessary). To my surprise, that was not it—they noticed that the see-saw was mounted backwards, so that the magnet was facing outward instead of inward. I popped that off, flipped it around, and mounted it correctly... and the next day it registered 1.86" of precipitation, which seems accurate for the amount of rain we had that day in a heavy storm! Super happy with how it works. It also syncs up with Weather Underground and WeatherCloud so that we can monitor the PWS from anywhere we have internet access (phone, laptop, etc.) which is a feature the first model we tried didn't have. Turns out that is very nice to have! It gives you all kinds of information and historical date for your PWS that you wouldn't have otherwise. Now I wish it would sync with PWSWeather.com, but it does not support that. Maybe they will add it someday—that would be nice. All in all, we're very happy with this unit and hope it lasts a long time.

You’ll be pleased with this purchase
Just bought this after reading several reviews of stations in my price range. Setup was fairly easy and hardware was easy to work with. Sensor functionality is solid and reliable. Network registration took a bit to figure out, but relatively straightforward if you’ve registered other network devices and you’re familiar with the processes. The display unit is very easy to understand and quite pleasant with the layout. I’m using the WeatherUnderground app which only took about 20 minutes to begin receiving live feed after registering my station. Today is my first day of use, so I’ll update this review after a few months and detail some of the things I discover with use and features. Overall, I’m very pleased with the product quality, features and price. So far, I would recommend this station.

It works better than expected but interferes with smoke detectos.
First, the good: For the money, I have been impressed; it cost less than half of the other PWS that I was looking at. The range between the PWS and display / base station is excellent. Setting it up and getting it online to Weather Underground was easy and it hasn't missed any updates. I'm not sure how accurate the wind measurements are, they seem low but I don't have any way of verifying. The rain gauge seems accurate, as does the temperature. Now for the interference: I know this is going to sound weird but it does make sense. This PWS causes my First Alert wireless interconnect smoke detectors to go off randomly. The day after I installed this PWS my smoke detectors started giving random false alarms. At first I assumed one of them was bad, identified what I believed to be the faulty unit, and replaced it. Then the issue continued happening. After researching I found the PWS and the smoke detectors all operate on the same frequency and while the smoke detectors are supposed to use code hopping technology to prevent false alarms, it doesn't seem to work. This isn't necessarily a knock against the Vevor PWS, but I say it in case anyone else is banging their head against the wall trying to figure this out.

Complete waste of money - don't fall for it!
I bought this thinking I'd get accurate weather info at my house and boy was I wrong. This thing's about as reliable as a chocolate teapot. The problems started on day one. The outdoor sensor lost connection constantly, even when placed just 30 feet from the display. The "solar powered" feature? Joke's on me - it died after two cloudy days and never recovered properly. The temperature readings are wildly inaccurate. It showed 85°F when my trusty analog thermometer read 72°F. The humidity sensor seems to live in its own fantasy world, jumping from 30% to 90% within minutes on a clear day. Don't get me started on the wind measurements. The anemometer cups fell off after the first decent breeze. When they were attached, the readings made no sense - showing 15mph winds during dead calm conditions. The rain gauge? It registers phantom rainfall on sunny days. The display itself feels cheap. The screen looked promising in photos, but it's dim and hard to read unless you're standing directly in front of it. Save your money and buy a real weather station from a reputable brand. This Vevor unit belongs in the garbage, not monitoring your weather. Avoid it and go for one of the more well known brands.

A little fiddly to set up, but once you do you can see the results and graphs for every day on the website. So far no problems with power so assume the solar panel is good enough in winter. In house dispay nice and bright, but needs a power supply.
