Ideal for 8 by 4 sheets
I really like this saw and the accuracy of its cuts. In practice you have to get used to the fact that any track saw will always cut 4mm away from the edge of the track and factor that in the measurements. I found a length of flat 4mm metal that I use to compensate for this. I now use this saw rather than a bench saw for anything that needs cutting that is longer than the reach of my mitre saw. It’s especially good for working with 8 by 4 sheets.

A good saw for home use
This is a great value track and good for home use. My next investment will be a better blade. Like all these saws they come with a 24 tooth blade but it means the cut is quite ripped even with the anti-ripping rubber in place. I think a 40 tooth blade will help.

Sawed it loved it
For a budget track saw you really can’t fault it it’s well made accurate easy peasy to adjust depth cut and the track itself is straight and true.

4 stars for the saw...one for the sale
I would like to point out that the saw looks like a decent bit of kit. My problem is I bought this 2nd hand through Amazon. The saw at first inspection looked decent, box was tatty, but maybe only used once or twice. I need it for a single kitchen worktop installation, so paying big bucks wasn't an option. My first problem was the rail clamps were missing from the box so £20 quid later I fixed that by buying a new pair. We're already up to full price for a new one at this point. Upon setting up the saw for the job I notice that the plastic guide on the side of the rail is chewed up. OK. Flip the saw and find it's been eating the plate on the underside of that as well. Rotating the blade by hand finds the saw blade occilating by 1/4''.I reset the blade and it runs true, so it was simply installed wrongly and not a warped spindle. Moral of the tale ''buy cheap, buy twice''. If you go with Silverline (no reason not to), don't trust Amazon 3rd party sellers.Saw itself 4 or maybe 5 stars....overall experience 1 star.

Get what you pay for
I really wanted the Festool..........but as I am not in the trade, I could not justify the extra £260. I've only given this three stars as the plastic adjusting knobs on top of the metal screws fell off with the first use. That being said, I spent ages searching for a budget model that had a special marking at 22.5 degrees like the more expensive brands. I have a lot of bays to cut skirting into and this is needed. In order to make my first cut, I replaced the blade with a 48t one before cutting through the rail guide strip. Other negatives, the plunge markings don't appear to be accurate as they come up short. As I put a sacrificial piece underneath, this was not a problem. Positives- it cut exactly where the rail was. My first job was putting a letterplate in an existing front door. By going slowly and not plunging straight through at the first pass, a very neat job was done. By not having an anti-kickback device, I was able to go back and forth slowly lowering the plunge further each time. You do have to be firm and careful as you can tell that the blade wants to kickback.

Irreplaceable blade
As a previous reviewer has mentioned the product itself works pretty well. The issue is the bolt is welded in making it impossible to put in a new blade. I've gpt a fine toothed dewalt bpade ready to go but I'll never be abltto replace it. This makes the product essentially disposable. The product is fine if ypu only intend to use it a few times

Not so bad
The saw itself is good but the blade is just a curve
