These silica crystals work exceptionally well for drying flowers to preserve bouquets or for use in resin art. They produce little to no dust, yet the fine particles easily settle into dense blooms, ensuring thorough drying. Small flowers like violets dry in about 4 days, while larger ones like roses take 3–4 weeks. I’ve also had great success using them to dry out insects and butterflies for resin projects. The large container holds enough crystals to dry multiple flowers at once, making it a practical and efficient option for crafters and preservationists alike.

This was my first attempt at drying flowers using silica but it seemed super easy to do. I have to wait three days to see how everything turns out but I suspect that if the flowers are not dry, it’s because they need additional time and not that there is anything wrong with the silica.

This stuff is amazing if you’re trying to repurpose flowers. I wanted to repurpose my wedding bouquet without losing the color of them and this stuff worked great!
