It does what it's supposed to do.
I use it in a room of around 20m². I've had it for almost a week and tried different settings. On "Auto" it humidifies the room as it finds fit based on the existing room temperature, but after 1 night it had consumed more than 2.5L of water. The second night I turned it on without refilling, again on Auto and it stopped sometime during the night when there was no more water, so that works. The best setting for me is the humidistat, I set it at 60% on low steam output. It takes about 1-2h to reach the desired humidity level, depending on how dry the air is, but once it's there it keeps it for the entire night on the most economic setting: low noise, very little water consumption(I estimate about 1L), low power consumption(according to the manual the lowest power consumtion is on the lowest steam output. It does have ha small inconvenient, when removing the water tank for refilling I found out that there was water on the inlet duct and because of that there was some spillage, but only a few drops. Nothing a paper tissue can't clean. After all you can't expect to work with water and don't get a little bit wet.

Bought nearly 2 yrs ago…. Used less than 10 times.
Worked great when it worked. No complaints. But having been used only about 6 times it no longer switches on. Has been stored well in box when not used. So no excuse for this. Poor product reliability..

Works but control is questionable
The unit works nicely as a humidifier however the control panel is clumsy and unresponsive sometimes and requires several touches. I have set the unit up and a couple of times it's gone beyond what I thought I set and continued until the room was like a steam room. As usual the manufacturer has included lots of irritating lights and an irritating animation, they had the foresight to include a sleep mode which switches off the display. However, to activate this sleep mode you have to press 2 of the control panel keys at the same time (which results mostly in a settings change before activating), you cannot activate sleep mode from the remote. I've had a few humidifiers over the years, this I would say is one of the most effective but the worst to operate. It shouldn't be this complex.

It does the job of maintaining a desired level of humidity.
I like the large tank, easy to understand and operation of the controls. I have run it for less than a week and it operates well. Very quiet, the humidity readout is always a little higher than my stand alone hydrometer - normally between 3 & 4%, its consistent so not a problem. I had to raise the humidity to stop damage to my violins and concertinas and this has certainly done the job efficiently. I do have a moan about the User Manual, which should be re-written, 'clock-wisely' should read 'clockwise' etc.. Also, right after I made my purchase the price was reduced by £10. I have given 4 stars but would have given 5 if the manual was a lot better.
