Loved the quality of the substrate, it was just right for my aquatic plants and shrimp, the water clarity has been great, after 1 month of usage. The plants are thriving and have grown new shoots and roots thanks to the nutrients in the substrate. Very useful and keeps the tank clean.

Good for plants and safe for shrimps and fishes

Bought this soil for trial purposes. The bottom line is that the soil is very poor quality. Basic plants like hygrophila difformis and echinodorus tennellus are struggling to grow despite water column fertilisation. My guess is that the soil is nutrient deficient and will require the use of root tabs from the beginning itself. Despite having more than a decades experience, I found it incredibly difficult to plant in this soil. The balls in the soil are also losing their brown colour and some of them are turning pinkish red.
