Amazingly fun bike with build quality issues
I just crossed 1000 mile threshold on my Wallke X3 Pro. I waited this long to write this review so I would have a clear understanding of the bikes purely enjoyable aspects versus a thing that needs maintenance and upkeep over time. I think I understand both.I am a 50-year-old 6’4” 240 pound man who needed a hobby… I used to ride motorcross bikes and Mountain bikes into my mid 30s. Although I still follow both sports from afar, I didn’t participate for various reasons until I bought this Wallke X3 Pro in December 2020. Who buys an electric Mountain bike in the middle of the winter just outside of Boston? I did.The smile on my face after each ride, despite the cold, was a palpable and noticeable difference to my family. This bike was powerful, fun and let me bridge the gap between being out of shape and wanting adventure that didn’t leave me exhausted.I wanted to ride off-road only but I needed to be on the road for stretches at a time because the trails are not always continuous in my suburban Boston town. This bike seemed like it could offer the best of both worlds. If I was rating this bike purely on fun factor I would give it 5 stars. If I was rating the bike on its build quality I would give it 3 stars. My muscle memory pegs me at about 32 when I ride so I have ridden the bike hard and everywhere. The motor provides plenty of power and while it is a little abrupt, you get used to it. It is snappy and has good torque and I tend to use the thumb throttle more than relying on the pedal assist. The pedal assist works decently but does not seem to activate consistently. As such, on steep climbs I set it on PAS 1 and pin the throttle and pedal away. It climbs all but the steepest hills but the gearing is a little high and it would really benefit from a gear or two lower. Top speed with motor only on a flat is about 23 or 24mph for my large frame – decent! I have never owned an electric anything and I am very satisfied with the amount of power and most trails could be tackled with throttle only if you so desired. I generally go for 20 – 25 mile rides and I usually have between 10 to 30% battery left after each ride. You will get more or less mileage depending on how you ride but you could safely bet on a 20 mile ride with hard use of the throttle. As a full suspension bike that looks like a small motorcycle, I expected this bike to be more off-road capable than on.This is a large bike, heavy and with a higher center of gravity and step over height and may pose some challenges for smaller riders. The seat post offers tremendous adjustment up or down and I have found the maximum height very comfortable for my 6’4” frame but that does put my center of gravity way high and far back. My tip–overs have come directly from this and they have come in two varieties; a near dead stop high side fall when I can’t get my foot on the ground or a front end washout because there is not enough weight to get the front tire to bite. This leads me to my first build quality issue. The tires are better suited for mild gravel paths or pavement and struggle in more intense off-road terrain. The tread pattern is very mild and the front tire especially struggles to find bite. I have learned to stand up around sketchy corners to give more bite to the front. The rear tire fares better because there is far more weight centered over it. But, as soon as you stand up on a steep uphill, you get wheel spin as the weight transfers. You also have to run slime or liners or you will get a flat (I got two within 5 minutes of each other on an early ride) these tires are a jack of all trade and seem better suited for road or mild trail use.The suspension is decent with the front forks being far superior to the rear shock. The forks are adjustable and do a perfectly adequate job soaking up terrain. The rear shock is a spring in a can with no adjustment and at the thousand mile threshold, it has lost most of its action and bottoms out on the smallest of bumps. Again, out of the box the bike is better suited for milder terrain but it can be ridden hard and on challenging terrain with care. Can you jump it? Sure but watch the landing – ouch!Despite what may seem like mounting criticism for its off-road capabilities, this bike has taken me far and wide and I have adventured far more than I would have expected. The bones of this bike are very good and there are mostly component issues that hold it back. The first thing this bike needs is a thorough check of all the bolts and a tube of Loctite while you do this. Bolts will loosen and fall out and I had a suspension linkage bolt bend beyond repair because the fastener had fallen out. The pedals are junk and I would replace them before your first ride. They nearly fell off on my first ride despite having torqued them as tight as I could. The metal just felt soft as I was tightening them and I felt like I couldn’t trust them so I upgraded almost immediately. I also had my rear brake line develop a leak because the way it was routed through the rear suspension caused a kink as the suspension action moved. Wallke was good enough to mail me a new brake system but it took 4 weeks. Admittedly, I ride the bike hard and over terrain it probably isn’t designed for out of the box. Unfortunately, to get it to where it should be for more serious off road, I have had to make and will continue to make a number of upgrades.Overall, I am still terribly satisfied because the motor is awesome and having learned how to ride the bike more safely and effectively I have had too much fun exploring everywhere. For the price, you are getting a bike that will do almost anything you want it to do with the caveat that it will be stretched if you push it too hard.It requires more maintenance and concern over part longevity than I anticipated. Again, for the price this is the drawback you get. If you perform regular maintenance and upgrade a few of the parts I think this bike will go for the long haul. If you ride mostly on road or bike paths with an occasional trail ride it’s a great bike as is. If you believe the advertising and the “look” of the bike as a more serious off-road performer you may need to temper your expectations accordingly.Would I by the bike again? Probably not but only because I realize I want to get deeper into the trails and woods that this bike has reminded me are out there. It is 5 star fun mostly because of a great motor in a 3 star package that has suspension and tire issues that inhibit using all that power.Enjoy!

Very nice quality
The bike assembled very easy in 30 minutes . The quality is obvious . It shocked me when I pulled it out of the box . The wheels are huge ! The bike is huge ! I,m 6'1" 200 pounds so it fits me perfect . This bike is so fun to ride . Power comes on smoothly and was easy to get the feel for . All I needed to go along with it was a rear view mirror and a helmet . I'm 70 so it's senior approved .

Love it!
Just went out on my first full ride yesterday and wow! The speed, handling, and comfort on this bike exceeds my expectation in every way. I topped out at 37 mph on Pedal Assist 5 yesterday while peddling hard and was amazed, as were the people driving close by.Beware! The instructions that come with the bike seem to be outdated as they changed some of the design and shipping method. The handlebars require that you remove a screw at the top of the post on the bike to remove a ring and the instructions do not say this. I had to contact the seller to get updated instructions.

Electric moped
I always wanted a moped since I was a kid. This bike is the modern version to me. I like the pedal assist mode. But mostly use full electric mode. It has so much power and the thumb throttle works great. The bike is very heavy so not so enjoyable in pedal mode. But still very happy with it. It’s got everything I wanted, powerful motor, large battery, large brakes and the wide 26in tires

good customer support
I wanted to have something that I could roll around town.Since this was going to be my point of entry, I wanted something on the affordable end of the spectrum. I use the term affordable loosely. Spending $2K is not an easy decision when you have to be budget conscientious. But compared to some of the other off road bikes out there like the $6K ebikes, this fell somewhere in the middle of the pack. That being said, I also needed it to be capable. So with that in mind, I knew that I wanted at least a 750W motor and ample run time. So the 14.5 battery pack was a deciding factor for me. And big tires with front and rear suspension to soak up some of the rugged terrain. This bike arrived decently packaged, but still got some damage through shipping. There were also some minor defects that made it past QC. So there was some incomplete powder coating, some scrapped powder coating. And some bent spokes because the front wheel is shipped with the pedal sticking through them. The entire assembly is a breeze and they even provide most of the tools needed. Only tool you will need of your own is a socket for the headlight bolt. While having a folding bike might seem like a great feature for travel storage, it was not a concern for me since I just put the whole bike on a 2" hitch cargo basket. That being said, folding and unfolding this bike is a cinch using the sizable locking lever and retainer. The thumb throttle on the left handle is easy to operate. Stepping up and down the three PAS levels works well. The throttle is not instant on. The start and stop delay is due to use of a cadence sensor. It's minor and not bothersome. The rear brakes hand lever is also on the left side. The brakes also cutoff the motor so you're not fighting the motor as you brake. I swapped the brake hoses so the right is rear and left is front. The brake cut off connector did not need to be swapped. The center display is bright and easy to read in the sunlight. All the information is clear and well laid out. Accessing the advanced menu is done through pressing multiple buttons at the same time. This display looks a lot nicer than the standard LCD displays found on most ebikes. As for the overall weight, it's a heavy bike. With tires that rival that of a small car and an 14AH battery pack, that's expected. The tires have tiny tread blocks with just a small bit of side bite on the edges. Not sure how many ply the walls have. They seem to grip pretty well and ride softly. I've put them at 30PSI as recommended.Update: The customer service support have been responsive and helpful.
