Minka Aire F624-WHF Roto XL 62" 3-Blades Ceiling Fan in Flat White Finish with Flat White Blades

Most fans are ugly like my mother-in-law. This fan is very attractive, like my side piece. Easy to install. Moderately quiet. Puts out a lot of air. It’s pretty fan-tastic. On a scale on 1 to 100, this fan is a solid 96.464.On a side note, it isn’t very white - it’s more off-white, like my wife in the summertime.

Look really good for the price it’s a good quality, there is a slight clicking noise but think it’s be expected with any fan as they are motorized.

I was hesitant to order or spend this much on a fan. I must say I love it. It does not wobble and it works great - far better than my older fans. I would order again and again.

Second Minka Aire fan purchased because they is simplistically beautiful and very reliable. Installation is easy and I appreciate the manufacture provides enough wiring so that you don’t have to purchase an electrical extension kit if you use an extended down rod (unlike Hunter, where I will never buy a ceiling fan again). The only reason this fan gets 4 out of 5 stars is (1) the white colored switch does not match the standard white color of other light switches (I have a multi gang box), and (2) the fan starts at high and reduces to low speed. I am use to fans starting at low then incrementing to high.

We wanted to swap out our old brass fans with light kits for something cleaner and more modern and these are perfect. They move some crazy air in our vaulted ceilings but are whisper quiet! We usually just use them on low to push the warm air from the pellet stove down but did have a bacon incident last week and turned them up and opened some windows and it cleared the house in minutes. I looked everywhere for something like this and this was the only option I could find without a light with the over all cleaner style. Now for the bedrooms!

TLDR: Burned out in first 48 hours of operation.UPDATE: Tech support followed through with a replacement part and the instructions for repair, so I increased the rating from 2 to 3. I only added an extra star because buying a new product and having a failure within the first days of operation is unforgivable, especially on something as Time consuming and demanding as a ceiling fan install. The fan has been running all day and night for several months so it seems to have some longevity but time will tell if this will continue. I say go ahead and buy it and hopefully you won’t get a flawed unit.I bought my MinkaAire F624 ceiling a little over a month ago and just got around to installing it. The packaging, instructions and assembly were all on par with other ceiling fans I’ve pitched in the past.After having the ceiling fan installed and running for around 48 hours, I turned it off and then turned it back on later in the day and all it did was “hum” at me. I pulled out a ladder and climbed up to check it out. The motor housing was exceptionally hot to the touch. I figured maybe it overheated and needed a cool down. I waited a day and turned it on and it did nothing but hum at me. I removed the wall control from the circuit and just connected 120volts directly to the fan and it still didn’t do anything but hum.I called tech support and talked with Kevin. He said the capacitor for the fan must have been faulty and burned out (this is where I suppress my opinions on items, like this fan, made in China). After a quick email with my info he said he would send out a replacement capacitor and instructions for installation.I’ll provide an update when the part shows up and if it fixes the problem.Currently giving two stars because it doesn’t work but at least tech support answered the phone and says they are going to help.It is fortunate that I am electrically/mechanically inclined because I can only imagine what someone who isn’t is going to do if their fan burns out.

We purchased the Oil Rubbed Bronze version of this fan and it looks great. We have a bright white ceiling and the contrast is very nice looking. It was easy to install which was a bonus because I had to use 12' scaffolding to do so. I have 17 foot ceilings so I went with the 24" downrod which is a perfect length. The switch the fan comes with has 4 speed settings; 1 being the fastest and 4 being the slowest. I thought that was weird but not a deal breaker by any means. Setting 1, (highest speed) moves a lot of air and does make a little noise but that's to be expected given the amount of air it moves. Setting 4 (lowest speed) is perfect if you just want to keep the air moving. With ambient noise you can't even hear the fan at this speed. All in all, this is a great fan thus far and provided nothing malfunctions or starts rattling, we will remain satisfied customers. If anything should change, I will be sure to update my review.
